My set was sent to a calif facility. theFla facility had no idea how to contact Calif; I got re routed back to the old Calif # and eventually got a response. They apparently have but one person answering if and when they want. But I finally got through. Thank You

Not sure why you changed your rating from Fixed to Inappropriate. Did you not get ahold of anyone from Polaroid using that number?

yes you can if its still in warranty, ring them and make sure they still have your details for the return. if its out of warranty and you are sending it to be fixed from a company they will still be happy with your custom but again ring them to make sure they still have your details.

How can I disable the programmable function and just use as a conventional thermostat

5. Temperature Adjustment
Extended Hold (Vacation) Mode
1. Press the HOLD button to bypass the program schedule. The current set point temperature will be held either permanently or for 24 hours, depending on the setting selection made in section 4.

2. Press the
HOLD button again to return the thermostat to the normal program operation.
3. The hold period will last until the hold is released as in step number 2 above, or is limited to 24 ours if the default was changed in the User Options Settings (see section 4).

4.Programming User Settings

Setting the Extended Hold Time (see also section 6)
The default setting is Long (indefinite) Hold. If the HOLD feature is activated, the current set point will be held until HOLD is released.
1. In normal operating mode, press and hold the
RETURN button for 4 seconds. Press RETURN again to skip past differential setting. The display will show "HOLD LG", where LG is indefinite hold.

2. Press the or button to change the Extended Hold time from indefinite (LG) to 24 hours (SH).
3. Press the
RETURN button again to set the Filter Check Monitor or wait 30 seconds for the thermostat to return to the normal mode.

6.Additional Operation Features
Resetting the Thermostat
The Reset feature allows the user to completely reset the thermostat to register new manual switch settings.
1. To erase all entered programs, current time of day, day of week and other user settings, gently press the
RESET button using a paper clip or a small pencil tip.
2. This will return all thermostat settings to their default values and register all new manual switch settings for proper operation (incl.
Extended Hold = Indefinite).

I would like to know how to program the on-hold ring back feature to wait longer before ringing back. We had a power failure and I have figured out everything else but this one.

Hi this would be altered in MMC502, however if you put a call on hold by pressing the hold key twice it will hold (this is called exclusive hold) the call will be held there indefinitely. I've posted a video from this has loads of videos to help with programming and training, I hope this is helpful

I have a polaroid 32 inch lcd tv and im having this problem where i turn on the tv and the polaroid logo appears and after about 20 seconds the screen turns black. I can still hear sound but nothing will...

There are 2 capacitors located on a circuit board that have gone bad. They are located inside the TV. It is very easy to take apart and inexpensive to fix. If you know how to soldier you can do it or sent it away like I did to fix mine. On the back of the TV there are 3 screws holding on the cover. One is big in the middle and the other 2 are small on the ends. Remove them and slide the cover off. Remove the screws holding the metal cover and take it off.
The top circuit board has the blown capacitors. Located on the left top 2 small round tubes located at E17 & E18. Unplug the 3 or 4 connections carefully on the board and remove the 6 screw holding it in place. Take out the board and replace with new capacitors. I sent mine to JD Electronics in Poland Me. and he fixed it. I put it back in and it is fine now. I ordered the capacitors from Part # 493-2069-ND. They were $1.09 a piece.
Hope this helps...........

I had the same problem and I literally had to wait 2 hours on the phone to get a Polaroid rep...And you need to do this in order to get an "RA number" in order for you to return the product....

They actually did send the TV back and I was surprised to see that they sent it back within 2 weeks!

The TV turns on now, however, I'm just having a problem setting up the remote to program the TV and the codes aren't working...that's why I'm on this website now to look for help.

Good Luck to all of you that have this problem.

And I hope we all learn a lesson to NEVER EVER BUY THEIR PRODUCT AGAIN

Control Box

Hey buyer74,

That's awesome!!! Congratulations on your TV I would definitely hold onto your old one just to be sure.

I guess Polaroid isn't all that bad. Their customer service just saved you and me $300-$400. I still won't buy another Polaroid

Take care and good luck in your TV adventures..

FLM- 3732

Yes, I did receive the control box from them. However, it was not functional either. I ended up taking my TV and both bad control boxes to a local repair shop. The one Polaroid sent me was the least expensive to repair since it only had a bad power supply. It still cost $189 to fix, but it's better than $400 for the cost of a new control box.

Polaroid has requested that I send them the bad one from my TV. I will not be sending it back to them unless they refund me for the cost of repairing the control box they sent me.

If yours works, then I bid you congratulations. If it doesn't, then have someone check the power supply 1st. You may even try switching the power supply from your old one with the new one and see if it works. Keep me posted.
