Nintendo Connection only on one DS?

I was just made aware that I can't connect to the nintendo wifi connection on any other DS but the one I made my first connection on. Thing is I don't have my own DS yet and I'm playing on my little brothers, does that mean I have to play on this one whenever I want to connect to the internet through it?

goto game menu and click nintendo wifi setup and then click on search for network or something along those lines. if it is a secured network you will need the network WEP key to access it if you have a unsecure network you should connect it with no issues.
After searching for networks dont click the on anything in the red or chances you will not connect or be disconnected shortly.
