If this is a Makita Brand, you can use Bosch Grease part number 1615430005. About $6.00 for 45ml tube.

I am troubleshooting a ward's western field model 87 22 rifle and the bolt wont slide open. I am looking for a manual or exploded view of internals

Try break free or another penetrating oil and let sit for 24 hours. Then you can clean the parts and lubricate properly. Moisture on the bolt that was poorly lubricated will rust in place. You'll need to clean really well before operating the bolt normally.

My centurion garage door is not working correctly. the remotes will not open and close the door, and the door will not operate correcly when the red button onthe control unit is pressed. when it does...

Centurion Systems: (you will have to C&P the full URL shown below)

There are only two systems of door opener, XTrac and RDO.

Manuals can be found here: (Page down until you see the appropriate section.),114,Product Documentation

Note that the driven shaft requires periodic lubrication.
Although most systems should be lubricated with Molybedenium disulphide grease (applied manually), I find that a small amount of spray oil every 6 months works wonders.
The shafts can and do aquire dust, and this can cause the load on the drive mechanism to exceed limits. If lubrication does not solve the problem, then you may well have a drive unit failure, requiring repairs by the manufacturer.
Note that NO lubricant should be applied to the steel door guides.

The drill has a small lubrication hole labelled "oil". I inherited the drill and it is a great unit but dont have the spec docs. I would like to know the oil specification please.

30 weight engine oil should work well here, but you need a pump-type oil-can to force the oil into the hole. The small steel ball needs to be depressed while doing this. Don't insert very much or it will cause problems internally. If you don't have the oil can, auto parts stores can supply one fairly cheap. Good luck!

For months of non use, the bar that carries the light does not move (stuck up) when switched on.

You may need to open the scanner and re-lubricate the steel bars using a lubricant oil. It sounds like the scanner is seized.

When on a jack, the back wheels (axle) move side to side about 1/4" - 3/8". This is what I believe to be the source of a "clunk" noise when going over larger street bumps like RXR tracks etc. My wife...

Those axles are held into the rear gear housing by two c-clips, and kept separated by a steel pin that screws in between them. If your rear axle gears dont have proper lubrication, it will suffer wear and tear internally and likely have that type of sideways play you described. Replacing those parts requires you to have some knowledge of the gears inside that rear housing. It's not too difficult otherwise.

I have a Kenmore Elite Model 106.57863801 side by side stainless steel fridge. The doors squeak when opening and closing. How can I remedy this?

Good day,
Spraying a good lubricant on the hinge pins should solve your problem. Sprays like WD-40 shouldn't be used because they may come in contact with your food.
I suggest you call around to your local appliance parts houses to see which one's carry a "food compatable" spray.
It's safe to use around food and can be saved for future use. Most service techs I know carry it with them in the service truck to use when needed.

Yes, if you want to part with the $$$. Find a LG service provider at to order the parts for you. Make sure you have the model number with you, and some times the serial number (first 3 digits) may be needed.

I have a Rotatract electric razor, HP1601. Do I need to lubricate and if so, how?. Can I still get parts, and if so, where and what? Can I get a manual somewhere. this is a very old razor that I haven't...

I have no way to get you a copy of an owner manual as this is a very old model made before Norelco begnning offering on-line user manuals.
There are some parts available for your shaver. The parts most likely to need replced are the shaver heads and the motor brushes. You will find these parts at See links below

It is suggested that all shavers have the heads lubricated. Norelco makes a product for this and it is also found at

Internal lubrication is not often needed but if your shaver is a bit noisy a 3 in one oil can be used. You will need to take off the outer case of the shaver by removing two screws on the one side and one screw on the other. Once the insides are removed, you can remove the two metal clips that hold the gear housing on. You can then remove the gears and lubricate the spindels they fit onto and oil the pinion gear.
Reassemble in reverse order

Maytag Performa dryer venting

You are always better off using steel on these kinds of conversions and do not worry about how hot it gets,..Aluminum will get hot too. Steel is more rigid and less likely to dimple in while installing or hooking up the external vent system... Hope this helps..
