Trip arrows for Intermatic model T101

I'm looking for the little trip arrows that turn the timer on and off. It's a Intermatic model T101. If anybody knows where I can get a couple, please let me know. Thanks a lot. Dave

It could mean several things. If could be mean that your manual "trips" are failing to make the electrical connection to the load. Which would usuall mean that the "trip" was not tightened down or that the load side electrical connection is loose or corroded. If you put a meter on the load side and hit the manual override you should read line voltage (120v). If you have it there, then the problem is with the equipment hooked to it, if you don't have it there, then the problem is in the timer so check the "trips".

Apparently, the spring under the timer dial on my 4001 timer has been broken and the timer will no longer trip the trippers. Can this be fixed? It is a nearly-new unit and I like it.

Open following link for Paragon resources:

Individual parts are not sold except for X2772 tripper.
Move the manual override lever back and forth and see if load turns on-off.
Watch if on-and-off trippers are moving override lever back and forth, to see if problem is a worn tripper instead of broken spring.

Replacement 4001-00 timers are sold, even though Paragon is no longer making timers except defrost timers.

Where can I get a trip screw for a paragon 4000 series timer

Open following link for Paragon timers.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#4000

4000 series uses X2772 trippers.
Web search for X2772 and some places sell them, and some sites are asking a lot of money.

You can replace paragon 4000 with 120Volt T101 Intermatic timer at Amazon for $45

I get lights when I turn the switch to on but as the timer advances, it doesn't trip and turn the timer on

1) If this is new timer installation, it sounds like black wires on terminals 1 and 2 are reversed.
Other cause could be the ON-OFF trippers not positioned on timer dial

2) If this is old timer that worked before, then tripper pins could be worn down.

If timer has been working fine up until now, you probably need a new tripper pin
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Timer-Tripper-2E054?Pid=search

If lever is worn out, then you need new timer.
You can but a T-101 and swap insides without changing box
The T-103 will also work because it has a 120V clock motor
The T-104 is a 240V timer and will not work
You can buy the replacement timer mechanism and swap out

When wiring new timer, put wires back the same as old timer

First be sure dial is actually turning. Are the trippers tight on the dial? Sometimes when the gears and motors are going bad, the dial will turn until it gets to the tripper, then stops. It doesn't have enough forct to trip the switch. You can buy just a motor if that's the problem. www.intermatic.com

T101 Intermatic Timer will not turn lights on or off

You have a weak timer motor. The T101 is notorious for it. I have 6 on my property and have had that problem numerous times. You need to replace the guts of the timer.

How to program Intermatic model T101-70

Do you have the screw on trip pieces? They look like little arrows with a thumb screw on them. Some of them should say On, some Off Place the on trips over the time you want the lights to com on vice versa for off. To set the time pull out on the yellow time wheel and rotate until the arrow that is pointing down is over the current time. I hope this helps.
