Put it in DFU mode while connected to the computer. to do this, hold the home and power buttons for 10 seconds and then let go of the power but keep on holding the home for 10 secs. the screen will be black and nothing will show up. go to itunes and click on your ipod on the left. then click restore. this should work.

My ipod touch is disabled i forgot my passcode an i kept entering the wrong answer and it disabled

it may tell you how much time until you can try again. if it does, after that amount of time you will be able to try the passcode again. if, however you truly cant remember your passcode you will need to reset your iPod.

to do this you, unfortunately, will need to erase all the data on the iPod.

plug the iPod into the computer using the included USB cable. open iTunes. Hold down the home and power buttons at the same time until it shuts down and reboots. (if it doesn't open automatically) in the column on the left side of the window there is an icon showing your iPod's name. click on it then click on the button that says "restore iPod"

WARNING: this will erase all the content on the iPod (you can put it back on later)

it will ask you to confirm. hit "OK" and keep your iPod plugged in as it restores it to it original state. pick the language you prefer and then load your music back on the device.

New i pod 10 year old son put in pass word & cant remember it how can we reset password have recite details of purchase has not used the i pod

First, you can try the default passcode: 0000 or 1234
If that didn't work, please read my tip on how you can bypass the passcode-lock and continue on restoring your device thru iTunes.

My daughter put a passcode on it and got it wrong to many times and now it is disabled and wont connect to ITunes

Yes, iTunes will not recognize your iPod touch because it's locked with a passcode. Unless you can remember the passcode, the only thing you can do is to put your iPod touch to DFU mode and restore.
Click here for step by step instruction.
Doing so will wipe out all data from your iPod touch.

Ipod disabled connect to itunes

If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present.

Unlock code from ipod

It depends on the severity and the settings you have given the iPod... Here's the full explanation. I would recommend reading the second paragraph first, but the solution if you really forgot your password is in the first paragraph.
Refer to "Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software."

"If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "iPhone is disabled" and to try again later. It  can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode."
