Marikamp:

I had the same problem with my Samsung TV Model: TXR3079WHX. I troubleshot my problem with a can of component cooler from Radio Shack and found my problem to be a defective voltage regulator, identified as "QR015" on the main circuit board (the same board that contains the high voltage section).

Caution:

Before I proceed any further I need to strongly warn you. Do not attempt to remove the back cover, troubleshoot, repair or perform the actions that I have done, if you are not a "qualified service technician". Removing the back cover exposes you (and anyone else) to harmful and deadly electric shock, even though the TV may be unplugged from the wall outlet and turned off. You (or anyone else) can be seriously injured or even killed. If you are not qualified, play it safe by allowing others who are qualified repair this for you.

The defective part (overheats and shuts your TV off) is voltage regulator manufactured by Fairchild. The part number is KA75450ZTA. This part is available from Mouser Electronics for less than 20 cents plus shipping. In order to replace this part a qualified technician will need to remove certain cables and unscrew the main board to allow access to desolder and solder the new component.

Hope this helps.

That is the power supply defective or the main board is overheating.

The technician will start the Set with cover open and point a fan as big as possible toward the main board, if the TV stays on longer or does not turn off at all then it was an overheating problem on main board. Replace cooling system, or even better add an additional cooling fan to the heath sink.

If this was not overheating test inverter and power board.

Note this model suffers from overheating related problems, but as you pointed out, a faulty power board, or a faulty inverter board can cause the same kind of shutdown.

The action replay pc software wont pick up my action replay card.

This is a common problem with Action Replay cards for the DS, in that only about 2 out of every 5 or so cards works with the software. First, make sure that the program is running and searching. Then, plug in the cord AFTER you turn the card on, and it should automatically go into the computer menu on the DS. If not, click the internet option on the card (should be the top right one, if not, try all of them, it will have what appears to be two bars on it).

Action replay doesn't let me add codes in custom code list!!!!!

Your Action Replay DS hardware may require resetting if you are experiencing any of the following problems:

* Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes.

* Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it’s actually fully charged.

* Multicolored bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes.

* You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error.

If you are experiencing any of these problems, please follow the steps below to reset the Action Replay DS hardware. Please beware that resetting the Action Replay DS hardware will not restore a default codelist, and any codes which are stored on the Action Replay DS will be erased.

1. With your console powered off insert the Action Replay DS

2. Hold down buttons A+B

3. Turn your console on

4. With A+B still held down, as soon as you see the Action Replay DS license screen press and hold down buttons START+SELECT so that you now have 4 buttons held down

5. Hold all 4 buttons down for around 10 seconds until the Action Replay DS loads to it`s home screen

6. If Action Replay DS doesn’t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again

MY ACTION REPLAY NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!

That has happened to me. Actually, all the time. There are many things you need right for it to work every time:

  • Is the Action Replay all the way in?
  • Is the game in the action replay straight?
  • Did you charge the DS with the AR in it? (mine works when I do that)
If all of this is right and it still doesn't work...
take the AR out of the DS and the game out of the AR, put it back together and restart the DS.

hope this helps=^.^=
