My camera was working fine today but then when I went to take a picture, the screen was completly white. When I push the menu or review or anything it still is a white screen. So I put it on the docking station and to se if it took any of the pictures that I shot and it did. Please help thank You
There is a micro connector inside that has electrical traces so small if they get misaligned in anyway you get the result you are seeing. You can try to fix it your self if your are mechanical inclined and very patient. Otherwise take it to a repair shop to be fixed Remove the batteries. Remove the small screws around the case and pry open the camera with the lens down, LCD up. Careful not to damage the alum bracket with holds the LCD, remove the two or three screws that hold it down. VERY carefully lift the LCD and you will see the connector attaching a thin membrane lead to the main PCB. That connector is fragile! It has two very small tabs on each end of it but in fact it is one long piece. Push each end outward from the connector and membrane lead comes loose. carefully wipe it clean and re-insert it. Re-align the membrane carefully. Push the locking mechanism back in place and reassemble the camera. Before putting the outer case on you can power up your camera to see it you fixed it. If you didn't....it goes to the repair shop. Don't do this if it is still under warentee.
