Freeze temperature at -5 to -10 degrees is fine. Now because *********** board needs to be reset I'm not sure until I research your model better. Mother boards store memory and decide the functions of your refrigerator. So a complete loss of power to the memory board is understandable. But the price of replacement of a control board is expensive. So if you can deal with this inconvenience I would go with what you have to do to reset the board. I will be digging deeper into this, and if you need me to help you further please let me know. Now if you need to replace the board because this is your point and problem, I will help you replace the board. Thanks, JT

Water draining in bottom of refrigerator

Unplug the refrig . Inside the refrig section , remove the 4 screws ( 2 on each side ) and
lower the panel . Disconnect the large plug and remove the panel by pulling froward to
clear the defrost drain hole .Find a food safe caulking or odorless silicon and caulk at the
upper portion where the styrofoam meets the plastic AND on the top center of the styrofoam (
all the way around the large rectangle hole ) so that the styrofoam will seal to the top of
the refrig . When the refrig goes into defrost , the water is seeping between the refrig top
and the styrofoam , causing it to run into the refrig section . When reassembling , be sure
to plug the large plug back into the refrig .

Frigidaire refrigerator with a broken freezer

He is correct. The temp in the refrig controls how often and for how long the refrig runs. Lets say the temp in your garage is 34 degrees, and you have your refrig set to 36 degrees: The refrig will never run, the fresh foods section will cool to 34, and the freezer will warm to 34. Even if the temp is 45 in the garage and you set the fresh foods to be 33, the refrig will not need to run long enough and often enough to keep the freezer temp cold enough. You will most likely need to have the ambient room temp at least 55 degrees to get satisfactory refrigerator performance. Insulating the refrig will not help. (by the way, outdoor beverage vending machines use an internal heater in cold weather to prevent liquid beverages inside from freezing,..... so using that info, you could put a low wattage heater in your refrig to make your refrig run enough to make the freezer section work. The %&#* with that, just move it into the house!)

This fridge may be lacking the chemical called freon, a typical coolant agent used in refrigirators, try to replace the coolant, and then let the fridge run some time. It should be back on cooling as normal...:)

Problems with Frigidaire FRS6R4E Side by Side Refrigerator?

The refrig side does not have a fan. only the freezer. Is that fan working??? you will hear it when the unit is running (and not in defrost) The clicking you hear is the Damper (a motorized door allowing more or less air to the refrig) opening or closing. Is there frost buildup on the back wall of the freezer??

Refrigator compressor motor

No fuse. Check for retracted pins in molex connectors in back. See if any pins are sticking up farther than others on side of plug where wires enter. If so unplug connector and push wire in. Re-connect and recheck. Also have seen this in connector in console on left ceiling of refig. section.
