-   Apparently I have the same problem as everyone else. The camera lens is all the way out and won't retracted nor will the camera turn on...

This problem is frequently due to weak/worn out batteries or corroded battery terminals inside the
camera. If charging/replacing the batteries does not clear the problem, remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth
(heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or
sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning.
Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then
replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it
doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
I can tell you what worked for me. First, remove the batteries. Second, remove the memory. Third, wrap a paper towel around the camera. And last thing to do is to put the camera in a plastic bag and stick in the freezer for about 45 minutes. Pull it out of the plastic bag, put batteries and card back in camera, and start taking your pictures again. This is a temporary fix. When it acts up again, repeat the steps again. Good luck
