Question about GE 24 in. Profile PDW7800 Built-in Dishwasher
(Brand new dishwasher.) I accidentally pushed 'Normal Wash' on my dishwasher so I tried pressing 'Reset'. When I did that, the dishwasher started it's wash cycle. I opened the door to stop the cycle, but now it beeps every 30 sec, letting me know I stopped it during a cycle operation. *All I want to do is to cancel the wash cycle*. But it won't let me reset while the door is open, and I can't reset it if the door is closed, and it starts washing again.
Since none of the suggestions on the internet worked at all to reset my Bosch dishwasher, I took a shotgun an blew the **** thing to smitherines! I feel much better now.

You have a few choices if the factory says that this is normal. try shutting off the breaker or unplugging the dishwasher. we use plugs when we install them to make removal easier. with the power down for a few moments, it may reset itself if its a solid state board. otherwise, let it run and then start it over again to do what you intended. its not a big problem if that is what you are stuck with for functionality. it is not a common need to reset, i would expect. check the manual too, you may need to hold the reset button for a few seconds or more.
