sounds like you have to reset the router and put in your info again as when it was new ...
Take a Ethernet cable and connect your modem from internet port of the belkin router and power on your modem.
Take another Ethernet cable and connect your computer from Anyone empty Ethernet port of the belkin router. (if you have laptop then you may connect your laptop using wireless facility. You will find the username and password in the back of your router) .
Now you need to power on your modem and wait for all lights to turn into green or blue lights. If all you have yellow light on your router. Then you need to restart your modem and wait for 2 minute. For more information you can visit : Belkin Router has solid orange light
If you have solid green light on your belkin router, you need to go to your computer and open your browser.
At the very top address bar you need to type the ip address 192.168.2.1 for opening the router setup page. (Sometimes the ip address may be different, you can check the router's ip address via running the ipconfig)
Now you will be able to see belkin router setup page, so you need to click on detect my connection.
If your computer will able to detect the connection properly then this will forward you to the wireless setup page. Here this will ask you to change the password (If you want) and click on next.
Finally you will able to see all configurations window, so you need to check all configuration and click on save and continue to save all settings on your router. Now you belkin router will reboot and this will show you router admin page.
Finally your belkin router will setup and you will able to use the internet. you may try to connect the devices, whatever you want to connect with it.
Contact belkin for the IP address to change your router setting internally. For example: Linksys is 192.168.1.1 Putting this address in your address bar will dial you into your router setting if you have a Linksys router. Each router manufacturer may have a different IP address. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
On my Belkin router the wireless light only light up when somebody is actually connected using wireless - it also flashes orange when somebody is trying to connect but failing - my router is a F5D8236uk4
Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.
It's not unheard of for a router to fail. When you connected the computer to the Modem, did you use the same cable that was connected to the router? Does your internet connection require a username and password? If so, is that configured in your modem, or the router? If not in the modem it must be the router.
