Question about Sorelle Baby Gear

Open Question

I bought a Sorrell Rosa Crib (Latvia) from a yard sale. I printed instructions from the Sorrell website to put the crib together. However one of the mechanism sliders for the drop side is missing. I ordered the part (part M) from Sorrell, but this part must be for a more recent version or a crib made in another country. Does anyone know where I can get a mechanism slider (down) for a Sorrell Rosa Crib (pine) made in Latvia? It is a little larger than the mechanism slider part M on the newer Rosa cribs.

SOURCE: RITA BELLA CRIBS

I have a similar crib by Rita Bella. This is what worked for me.

1. Remove drawer.
2. Face crib's drop-side.
3. On left side of crib (based on you facing the drop-side) locate two allen head screws close to you. Unscrew them. A piece of wood in the front will drop. This is normal.
4. Push left side of crib outward (about 1/4") until you can see the metal pin that controls the locking function of the drop-side. It is near the bottom.
5. Pull out the bottom part of the drop-side so it's not in the plastic groove area anymore. This should get the right side out as well.
6. Tilt the drop-side -- the bottom part should swing toward you. When it is completely tilted, you will see the wooden groove in the side of the crib, and you can then remove the drop-side pretty easily.
7. Replace the screws. You may need an extra pair of hands to get all the parts in place.
8. Replace the drawer.

The springs (I am presuming you mean the little springs, not the springs for the mattress placement) go on the little rod that the side of the crib slides up and down on. They should be at the bottom of the slide bar. This is to keep it from just dropping with a bang and creating injury.

Do you have a friend with a child/baby crib that you could take a photos of, use it as directions? Sometimes the simplest thing in trying to remember the order of putting it together is befuddling.

Another idea, see if there is a store that carries that crib, tell them you don't have the instructions to reput it back together, they may take it from the box, zerox it for you for free. Unless you have a brand name, googling won't get you the proper instructions either. My babies did not use a crib that had sides up and down.
