Question about Nikon Coolpix L11 Digital Camera
I have a new battery door.
How do I install the door?
Take the 7 screws out around the edges and use a flat tip screw driver pry the case apart between the back of the battery door and the case just enough to slide the pin out with needle nose pliers, remove the old door put the new one in place, reinstall the pin, squeeze the case back together and reinstall the screws and your done!

Why replace the door when you can go down to the hardware store and buy a Socket screw, also known as Allen head are fastened with a hex Allen wrench. Find one that will fit in the camera tripot, They don't make them short, so you will have to cut off part to make it screw all the way down. The find you a metal strap, cut it long enough to fit over to the battery door. Round off any edges. and your all set. Cost is about a 50cents to fix

I'm sorry but you can't use the camera as a webcam. Here is why. There is no function on the camera to stream video.
Also, the camera goes into standby mode after 30 seconds (by default). And 3 minutes after that, it shuts off completely. It does that to save batteries. Again. I'm sorry. Good webcams average between $20. to $50. usd and they are made to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
You can use a 4GB memory card in your camera, as long as it's an SD card.
If you get that message, it means you haven't formatted the card for use in that camera. You have to format the card in the camera before you use it.
Even though the solution was not what you prpbably wanted, don't let it stop you from rating it a fixya. I would appreciate it. Let me know if I can help you with anything else, and thanks for coming to FixYa.
