This may be a problem with the power supply. If it is you will need to measure the voltages in the power supply section to determine if it is the power supply. If you are not skilled in electronics take the set to a television repair shop.

    Hello Candlwarren

Ok your set will not come on, the question you ask is why? I say it's the power supply, and to check the power supply you need to open up the set and measure voltage test points to determine what casused the power supply to malfunction. Now to determine where the test points are, and what voltages belong there you need what? a schematic, now to read these voltages you need a voltmeter and to determine if a part is bad (ohmically) you need an ohmmeter. Now if your next question is what are these? It becomes obvious that you don't have electronics experience. So, let me get this straight, you want me to give you helpful advice on how to get your TV set fixed, Ok lets examine the facts:

    your own words:

model f32450 will not come on
(what this tells me is that you have no idea why it's not coming on)

By your description of the problem (which is a good laymans description of the problem) you appear to have no background in Electronics (I might be wrong, if I am, I apologize),

So the only logical and responsible advice I can give is: if you want this set repaired take it to a shop or at least to a friend that is able to repair it for you.

I am not saying this to be mean, just as a helpful warning, there are voltages in TV sets that can kill you, 20K to 40K volts on the CRT anode, 800 -1000 volts on the focus grid of the CRT, 100-200 volts on the cathode of the CRT, and not to mention any where from 30 to 120v distributed throughout the TV itself. All of this and you don't know where it is or even how to effectively measure it. I do think that I have given you the most helpful advice anyone could give you.

In know this is not what you want to hear, but as it goes My reputation and intergrity will not allow me tto say anything else.

I hope that you find what you are looking for, and I am sorry that I could not have been of more help, but your life is more important to me, then trying to have you explore a TV set with no knowledge of what can happen.

    Respectfully Submitted,
