To install remove the panel protecting evaporator, cut the 2 wires to the old sensor, crimp the 2 new wires on and snap the new sensor to the clip on the evaporator.

Wr55x10025 part install

what is the problem you're having?why do you think the sensor is bad?these sensors hardly ever fail unless you have an older g.e. fridge and at the end of the sensor where the wires go into the sensor has a black ring around it,then it has to be changed out,and usually the mother board too,if you look at the mother board you'll see black relays on it,the newer board is i think wr55x10942,if it doesn't have all 7 relays on it most likely this is your problem but check the sensor to above the evap coil,if it has a black ring around it change that out too,if it's all white you can leave it alone,it would be easier if you can send the model number and tell me what's happening to the machine so i'm not just guessing at things,if it's a side by side open the fridge door and look up on the right side wall up near the ceiling and you'll see the model number, also if the freezer is on the bottom it will be in the same place, freezer on top it will be on the left side wall..write back and i'll do my best to help you,if you're in mass, and you need someone to come out let me know.good luck and send the model number and what the problem is.

The model # is pss26lsrbssmy ge profile side by sides refrigarator is not working it is not coming on on at all the only thing woring is the lights on the inside

WR55X10942 is the part number for the computer board in your machine, everything runs through it,also if your fridge is over 5 years old you should check on top of the evaporator coil located in the freezer there's a sensor,it looks like a white bullet,if where the wires go into it has a black ring around it the sensor also has to be changed part number wr55x10025. shut down the machine or unplug it,take everything out of the freezer, then remove the back inside wall of the freezer and you'll see the coil, the mother board is located on the back of the machine behind a panel.hope this helps and good luck.

Pds22sisalss seems to run all the time. Compressor run and turns off once in a while. Freezer willwarm up to 8 degrees then it will cool down in about 24 hours. Something is wrong..help

the machine should shut down and go into defrost,a heater comes on in the freezer that melts all the frost off of the evaporator coil, but if your food is getting soft in the freezer you have a computer board that everything runs through on this machine, also there's a sensor on the top of the evap coil, you have to look at it,if it has a black ring around it where the wires come out of it it has to be replaced,it looks like a bullet and the new sensors are alll white, also when you're in the back, remove the back bottom panel and clean out the condenser coil,if the coil is blocked with dust this will make the machine run hotter but like i said everything runs through the board, most likely problem board part number is WR55X10942 and the sensor part number is wr55x10025,go here and you can look up parts

WHERE TO LOCATE part number WR55X1002

This part number appears to be missing a digit at the end. Please add a comment with the full part number or the description of the part for additional assistance.

Several shops have the GE temperature sensor (WR55X10025). One vendor is here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/ge-temperature-sensor-item-number-ap3185407.aspx . The control board (WR55X10020) is also available from several sites, including http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/WR55X10020/0046/363 . The control panel in black (WR55X10021) is not in stock but available as a special order from http://www.partstore.com/Part/General%20Electric/General%20Electric/WR55X10021.aspx .

I hope some of these links may help you. I found Sears Parts Direct listed some similar part numbers as "Order by Technician Only".

Coils frzg up in freezer section refrig side to warm. changed terminator and heater.i have a ge sxs gss22wgmd.

well i wonder if you have changed both the white sensor part number WR55X10025. This is the sensor that tells the mother board to go into defrost. The other terminator is only a backup safety stat. If this dont solve your defrost problem. Then change the motherboard.

I have a GE refrig. model GTS22ZCMARCC. The evaporator fan has been pulsing up and down forever. Then the freezer stopped getting cold and the refrig. part was not as cold. I check the evaporator fan...

it's the board, also change out the sensor that's on top of the coil,it looks like a white bullet, the part number for the temp. sensor is wr55x10025 and the board is WR55X10942.everything runs through the board,i've seen when you call for water the compressor stops or the water doesn't dispense,or the fan pulsates like you have.let me know how you make out

Ge rifrig will not defrost

you have a defrost issue not being able to verify circuits on the mother board i would replace the high limit, what you are calling the termination stat this stat stays closed unless the temp hits 140, thats right 140 degrees f and change the evaperator sensor.
evap sensor can cause missed defrosts or no defrosts
high limit part number wr50x10068
sensor number is wr55x10025
each part is 7-15 dollars each
