If you are a technician and you know what you are doing, start the Set with cover open and point a fan as big as possible toward the main board, if the TV stays on longer or does not turn off at all then it was an overheating problem on main board. Replace cooling system, or even better add an additional cooling fan to the heath sink.
If this was not overheating test inverter and power board.
Note this model suffers from overheating related problems, but as you pointed out, a faulty power board, or a faulty inverter board can cause the same kind of shutdown.
