Question about Canon NP 6050 Copier

NP6050 Remove Jammed original

The autofeeder results in an error telling me to remove the jammed original. I've been over the thing with a fine tooth comb and there is not jam or piece of paper lodged anywhere. I've gon so far as to clean the sensors as well. Shutting the thing off and restarting results in the same thing. The autofeeder does not engage, I get a green light at the autofeeter adjustment paper arms and the screen gives that error telling me to lift the cover.

    Thank you for your response. The black arms do not move and the tray does not drop. Then I get blinking green light in the opaque window. I took it apart and examined the two black arm and the drive mechanism that attaches to the little motor. It is intact and not broken. I also unplugged the cables and plugged them back in. When I put a sheet of paper to be copied in, a green arrow appears. Then when I hit copy, the green arrow blinks and indicates a Jam. The black arms do not move

    Ok, I took the front cap off and unplugged the black cable and plugged it back in. It says on the LCD to open the left lid on the ADF but when I do, it does not reset. Now a different error than opening the lid. Driving me crazy!

I have a quetion for you first... Do the two Black Arms that count the orginals do they move freely? And are there two there? There is a shaft that holds both of the arms and they break sometimes. Here is something to try..... Turn the copier OFF & remove the 4 screws that hold the front cover of the adf. Once you have the cover off you will see that the doc feed tray has one connector under nieth the tray... Maybe 6 or 8 wires & it is a black connector. Disconnect the connector and then reconnect again and turn the copier back ON and see if the jam go's away... If not there is a sensor on the back right side, by the hing that may not be restting that the adf was opened.. You have to take the back cover OFF, 5 screws.... Good Luck

My kyocera KM 1815 keeps saying "paper jam 00 open left cover and remove paper jam but there is no jam


Check all the paper movement from the tray, left or right cover, front cover, if so then remove jammed paper. Otherwise the paper sensor spring guide missing or fell off from its original position. Check carefully where the sensor locate. paper sensors detect all the paper movement in the machine during copying or printing, so locate the place in the machine which the paper usually jammed, see the screen of the machine, it will locate the place where the paper jammed mostly. Sensor not return to it original position that is why ( remove paper jam keeps blinking)

Jammed paper

You might need to update your drivers. If this doesn't help, there might be some loose gear inside the feeder . Try checking if there are also objects stuck.

My printer is telling me to remove paper jam, there is no paper jammed, when I try to print, it clicks repeatedly for ten or twelve clicks, and then tells me to remove paper jam?? It is a hp Officejet...

The sheet feed detector is bent out of true, which would start the error message, after checking that it touched the paper, see if the feed rollers are misaligned, or, are damaged. If there is a cog tooth drivebelt on this, see if the belt has snapped or is off the cog. After that, it could be a faulty sensor switch

Please turn the printer Off and then ON , till you see the error message of " Paper Jam" check all the flags on paper path, specially on Fuser Assembly.
Turn printer OFF, pull all trays out gently,
Disconnect cables to network or PC. turn printer ON,
check the message gets repeated - paper Jam,

Conclusion : There is some bit and piece of paper activating flags,
take all toners out gently and transfer Drum, look into printer, and
lift the paper path under the toners, push the door a little bit and unscrew the paper path and can see a piece of paper on right side..
Pull the paper out and screw bach. put every thing back in their original status.

Now the printer will work and there will not be any papers..

When the machine dont start fault error 102-353

Solution: Remove the Paper Jam in the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) Top Left Cover bttn_print.gifMake Printable bttn_email.gifE-mail this page elem_1_spacer.gif
  1. Lift up the handle on the Left Cover of the DADF until the cover comes to a stop.


    NOTE: An inside cover will also raise with the Left Cover as the two covers are interlocked.

  2. Gently open the covers.
  3. Remove any paper that may be jammed. Check for obstructions in the DADF area including jammed originals, paper fragments, paper clips or staples.


  4. Check for obstructions in the DADF paper sensor area, small paper fragments, paper clips or staples may get caught there.


  5. Clean the DADF rollers with a damp cloth.


  6. Close the Left Cover on the DADF until you hear it click into place.
  7. Raise the DADF, remove all the originals, and then lower the DADF.
  8. Make sure your originals are not torn, wrinkled, or folded. Load your originals again following the instructions on the Touch Screen.

    NOTE: Originals that have already been scanned will automatically be skipped, and scanning will resume from the previous document sheet.

  9. Torn, wrinkled, or folded originals may cause paper jams and damage. Place the originals directly on the Document Glass to make new originals that can be scanned using the DADF.

NP6050 false paper jam at doc feeder

When you put documents in the feeder and you push start do you see 2 black arms swing out to count the number of orignals? If yes, dose the doc tray begin to go down and then jams? If yes, you can try something.... OK, turn the copier off and move the 2 paper guides of the doc tray toward the middle. You need a #2 philip's head screw driver. Remove the 2 silver screws that will be sunk in a bit on the top of the doc tray. Once you remove the screws, remove the top part of the doc tray and you will have one connector toward the front. Unplug it and replug it back in and see if that works, if so return the 2 screws and you should be OK.

Jammed papler

inspect your fusing unit carefully, do not use any sharp things, you can damage the fusing roller. see that the sensor is moving fine, that the separator are OK, not broken.
if thats not helping and you wont find anything, last thing is remove back and side covers, carefully remove TBU, unhook the connectors and remove two screws in fuser sides and remove fusing unit to inspect it a little closer.and find the problem.

Hi, When I get a paper jam I have to remove the back and get it out from there. See if that helps. Also in the manual there's page telling you how to get jammed paper out. Good Luck, Carol
