Re: no verical

Hello gurdev, If all you have is a straight horizontal line across the middle of the screen, you have a vertical deflection problem. This may be caused by the opening of the vertical coupling capacitor, an open winding in the yoke transformer, the vertical drive transistor might be malfunctioning, or the vertical output IC chip might be defective. You will have to check all of these, make sure that you have a schematic, a multimeter, and an oscilloscope. Here is why: 1) schematic diagram to know where parts are and the voltages and signals present at test points. 2) multimeter to measure DC voltages on the pins of components 3) oscilloscope to measure signals at test points shown on the schematic. If you do not have a background in electronics please take your set to a repair shop, however if you have a background in electronics your troubleshooting will be around the vertical section if the tv. Thank you, Shuttle83

Replace capacitors CX2105 (35 volts 220 Mf), CX2110(35 volts 100Mf), C2104 (50 volts 1 Mf), resolder resistors RX2115, RX2116,R2118,R2119. You will need to also resolder the vertical IC. I think this IC location is IC 2200, its been sometime since I repaired this one.Do not short the pins together with excess solder. The values on the cap may not be exact. Please use the cap value that is removed (remove and replace one at a time). The locations will be correct! This will remove the horizontal lines or bars across the TV screen. You may as well replace capacitors in the horizontal deflection area. By now you have bad caps there. The locations and values are, CX3218 (160 volts 2.2Mf), CX3205 (16 volts at 100 Mf) CX3413 (50 volts 22 Mf) and CX3416 (25 volts 100Mf). Thanks for asking and show all hands of support.

Hi. I have a 2004 TV, the Make is a Citizen 27 inches model JCTV2700. I have 5 to 7 white across the top. At the beginning (say 3 months ago) they wrer small. Now they are getting large and 2 more lines...

Neer the center of the mother board you should find a tall heatsink with an IC mounted to it. This is the vertical output IC. Change the electrolytic capacitor closest too the IC. On my set it is C406, I cannot read the value without removing it, but it will likely be 47Mf or 100Mf @50v.

I got the problem for my Panasonic 21 TV (CRT type) where's Vertical line across picture tube when the brighness adjust high. The vertical I.C already changing. Any solution > Thank you

Have you recently replaced its Line Output Transformer [LOT]?. If so have you replaced it with same type and number? Verical bars are due to LOT to Deflection Yoke mismatching. It is known as "Yoke Rigging" technically. Replacing the vertical Ic won't help in this problem . If you have replaced the LOT, the replaced one is not orginal. Ok

Horizontal white lines across top of screen. About two inches from the top, some channels more pronounced than others but always there.

Check for dry electrolitic capacitors near the vertical Ic output maybe one of 50v to 100mf or 50v to 10mf

Cuales son los codigos para ajustar la imagen de

You have bad capacitors near the vertical IC. And you might have some one change the two horizontal caps as well. One is 250volts 2.2MF and the other is a 25volt 47MF. The caps near the vertical would include a 35 volt 100MF, two 50 volts 100MF, 50 volt .1MF, 16 volt 100MF and a 50 volt 10MF. If the fuse in your TV is will not have to change any semi conductors [ICs].

No Picture

It sounds like the veritcal ic has failed, and./or a cap in the verical circuit, When replacing the vertical ic, always check for a fuse resistor near the ic, it could be blowen aswell.

I have no vertical deflection how can i fix this?

Check the grounds around the 7 pin ic. [this is the vertical ic] located on a heat sink. Resolder these. The first reason they have rings is that you have two or three bad caps near this ic. Pay close attention to the 35volt 100mf cap in front of the ic. I cannot remember the location numbers now. Been sometime since I repaired this model. Then there are two 50volt 47mf that may be replaced. These are questionable, if you can find them they are very small but not surfacemounted. They are behind the ic. and you can replace . Always remember to correctly insert them with their polarity grounds.

My 15 year old Toshiba Televisiononly shows a narrow horizontal band in the middle of the screen. Sound OK.

Hiii fairley,

You aren't specsificly dercribe yor tv set.
For common TV horizontal problem ;i.e : White line accross the horizontal screen, horizontal band,'s can solved by replacing the IC Vertical/Transistor, and olso to replace the cap nearest the IC.

For common TV Vertical Problem :i.e : White line at the center of the screen (top to bottom),Vertical band,etc...It's can cure by Replacing the Horizontal IC/Transistor,and offcurse the cap's.

Tha's what all I know....

Hope can help you to solved the problem.

Tv wont turn on

This is a general failure indicator and can be anything from a blown fuse to a bad power supply/vertical IC/lightning strike.

There are 2 fuses, check/replace both. if they blow again, check for physical damage to the vertical IC LA7832. If its cracked or had a hole in it , you are going to need to take it in for service.
