I replaced the V-drive belt on my Husqvarna 5521 rs (961430002 - 01). How do I adjust the cable to tighten the belt?

Make sure you have the idler pulleys on the right side of the v-belt this is where the belt gets its tension. One pulley should be flat (outside of belt) and one pulley should be "v" shaped for inside.

I change my belt on my husqvarna awd mower, and it is pulling very slow, the belt is on and the cable is fine, there is a lot of slack in gage when i pull it to mower.

you routed the belt according to the diagram? did you get the right part number for your belt? if your mower is AWD it's under warranty, they just came out not long ago.

How do I change the drive belt on a 7021r mower? The drive will move the mower on pavement but not on the grass

First, you need to make sure you have the right tools for the job. You'll need a wrench, work gloves, mower blade clamp, drain pan and fresh fuel. Check your owner's manual for the correct belt to your specific lawn mower. Belts that are not specifically designed for your mower will not fit properly and may wear down prematurely. Next, remove the spark plug wire. This is a safety precaution to prevent the mower from accidentally starting.
Now you can remove the screws that secure the drive cover to the mower deck. Once you've taken off the drive cover, loosen the screw that holds the belt tension spring to the transmission. As the screw is loosened, tension on the belt is released allowing you to remove the belt off of the front transmission pulley.
At this point you'll need to turn your mower on its side to take off the mower blade. Be sure to use a work glove to protect your hand when removing the mower blade. You can use a lawn mower blade clamp over the blade to secure it. Unscrew the bolt to remove the blade and then the engine baffle. Once the pulley unit is exposed, you can remove the entire drive belt. Insert the new drive belt and place one end on the rear pulley and re-attach the engine baffle. Then, place the mower blade back (making sure it's facing the correct way with bottom of the blade facing the ground) and tighten the bolt. Remove the clamp and return the mower to its upright position so you can place the other end of the belt to the front pulley. Remember to tighten the screw to the tension spring.
Put the front drive cover back on, tighten the screw that secures the cover to the deck and reconnect the spark plug wire. Add new fuel to your mower and you're done!

I think the hydrostatic drive belt broke on my 20hp Husqvarna riding mower. how do i go about getting to it to see if that is actually the problem? Everything runs fine, except that it won't move. sc,...

The drive belt is the topmost belt, next to the frame of the tractor. So jack up the front end, lower the deck and take a look at the engine shaft if there is a loose/broken belt laying up there. If so then you are right. You will have to remove the deck to replace the belt. There is a spring loaded tensioner, released by the brake pedal, so you will need a confederate to hold the pedal down for the last step of install. Begin by putting the belt around the big pulley on top of the transmission first, then the engine pulley. If the belt is in place then you most likely have a fried transmission and they are so expensive prepare to get another mower.

The rear wheel drive in my Husqavarna push lawn mover quite working, how can I fix it?

You can try putting a little more tension on the drive belt. It is probably stretched out a bit and the drive engagement cant cancel all the slack out. So, the belt slips.

Pull out your owners manual and look up instructions for tightening the drive belt. If you dont have a manual go to the Husqvarna website and get a PDF copy.

Good luck and be careful!
