Our big screen hdtv was working fine, we turned it off last night and it will not turn on today. It has a red light that just keeps blinking, absolutly no picture or sound at all, any ideas?

10 blinks is an indication of a high voltage problem.without further examination i would be guessing. i have replace faulty d curcit boards in some cases to fix. i would get a tech to look at to narrow it dow

Screen turned solid red, and tv shuts down . worked fine last night.

Most likely cause of that is a red CRT has shorted which will shut the set down.

TV makes a spinning noise coming from the lower right side.

If there is a red light blinking that means that the projection light needs to be replaced.

Mitsubishi wd-65831 one night worked fine next day nothin..

If you hear a whining noise, the odds are it is the color wheel, the bearings are bad in it and will need to be replaced as a whole unit, kinda pricey, my suggestion, sale the bulb and all boards in it and which should fetch about 400+ and invest in a new TV, a color wheel is pricey unless you can find a deal

First off check your lamp or replace it. You can never have too many the last minutes of overtime ! Are you kidding Me! If lamp doesn't work, you will need to find qualified servicer. Try craigslist or tv repair in yellowbook
