Question about Kenmore 17024 Built-in Dishwasher

Small Object in the drain area

We have what we believe to be a piece of glass which slipped between the slats and into the drain area. Removed the rotor trying to get down to the area and remove it. But can't seem to find out how to do so.

The glass will definitely cause problems when it gets into the small pump that pumps the water out of the dishwasher and up the hose into the sink drain. Remove the lower front panel on the dishwasher, undo the hose clamp holding the hose to the pump. Remove the screws holding the pump to the frame. Now you can look into the pump and remove the chunk of glass with a tweezer.

My samsung dishwasher wont drain.

The draining is done by a small plastic impeller in the bottom of the dishwasher. Look for a screen in the bottom that is screwed down. Removing the screen should give you access to the impeller. In my case, a small piece of broken glass slipped past the screen and jambed the plastic impeller.

first check if there was an object that obstruct the motor, try to clean that area, and run again the unit, if the problem was still there, then could be the washer motor was broke.

We have small pieces of broken glass in our drain. We unscrewed 3 screws but still can't get the thing off.

Duct tape flexible tube or short piece of plastic pipe onto the shop vac hose and put down into the drain.
Example image shows similar duct tape connection:

Switch turned on map light but will not turn light back off. Need to know how to take button out to repair

Problem might be that one end of the spring sits on a small black piece of plastic which has popped out of position. I have NOT tried to actually fix the problem, yet, but just removed the bulb so that the battery doesn't drain.
3 screws need to be removed to see the black piece:
  1. With a very-thin, flat screwdriver CAREFULLY pry the lens-cover off; I don't suggest trying this if you can't do it gently since you might crack the cover. If you then look upward in the center of the uncovered area, you will see the screw that needs to be removed.
  2. Drop down the "sun-glasses compartment" and you will see the remaining 2 screws that need to be removed.
Finally, carefully disconnect at least 1 of the electrical harnesses.

You should see the small, black plastic piece in its correct position on the properly functioning light switch.

Good Luck!

Water not draining suspect a piece of smashed glass preventing drainage. I have removed and cleaned all filters.

I had the very dame problem with a Kenmore dishwasher this past weekend. Had to remove all the part on the inside to get to the drain line hook up point. Used a small wire snake to clean out drain line. Also be a good idea to check and make sure your actual drain line is not the problem.

A glass broke in my dishwasher and it soulds like there is still some in the bottom, it is making a grinding noise when I run it. What should I do, can I unscrew the arm on the bottom to check under...

The front kick panel and the lid and the 2 side panels are required to be removed. Once off, the small motor drain pump motor) in the middle of the frame needs to be removed to access the impellar. Once off, you should see small pieces of glass. Remove and check in the area. Reinstall then remove main wash motor. Once off you will also see small shreds of glass. Remove and check in the area for more pieces. Reassemble base and test before the panels are all put back.(Be exact when reinstalling motors).

About thirty minutes into the dishwasher running it starts to make a heavy woo, woo, woo sound, almost like a grind. It is only for about two sections of the time and then it stops and sounds normal...

The sounds it is making most possibly are coming from the drain cycle. It is probably finished with the prewash, or the first cycle (depending on what cycle you use). You may have some foreign object down inside the impeller which is why you hear it more now. Often times, a glass may get broken and a small piece gets down inside the pump, or we have seen alot of different things (from cherry pits, to chicken bones). At any rate, you should be able to remove the lower screen inside your dishwasher to a recessed area. You can try and see if you find any objects down inside there and if so, remove them, then replace the screen. If the noise continues, the foreign object may flush itself out eventually. If it gets worse, or continues without any relief, you may need to have a service person come out and take your pump apart to get the foreign object.

Ricoh cl3500N printing with blank streaks in middle of page and faded quality black printing and black ink blotches on sides

The voids and blotches can be a bad black pcu, the voids san also be toner on the glass slat obove the pcu,s there are 4 slats one for each color, on the pcu itself on the upper side is a narrow long opening, the glass slat is above this opening when the pcu is in the printer. It will take a flashlight to see any toner on the glass.

In order to fix problem we disconnected dishwasher, put it on one of side, opened bottom cover - the one that is outside of dishwasher. We find out the part that is
connected to the drain horse. We take of 3 screw and open that part too. We discover
few small peices of glass that were preventing to rotate one plastic part of dishwasher. We removed that pieces of glass. Put all back and connected dishwasher. All was working fine. I am suggesting to everybidy try these steps before calling for any service.
