Question about ASUS F3F Notebook
You could buy another power cable from somewhere and take out the battery from your laptop, plug in your new power cable and press the power button. if that does not work put the battery back in keep the power cable in and leave your laptop for about 10-15 mins and then try again. that sometimes works.

Did the connector from the replacement LCD inverter fit in the socket of the motherboard? When you were replacing the LCD, did you have the battery out of the unit? And finally, have you attempted to start the laptop with the power cord in, but the battery out? I'm not familiar with the mx6931, but can you press the power on button without the trim piece that sits above the keyboard?
