Question about Acer Aspire 3610 Notebook
I have encountered the same problem. If you put just 1 stick of ram in slot #1 the notebook will probably function normally. The problem is slot #2 (upper slot) does not function for some reason when there is a stick of ram in slot #1. I contacted Acer and was advised to upgrade the BIOS to V 1.05 however my BIOS states V1.13 which I would think is a later version. I'm going to leave mine alone for now until I can find a better solution.Good luck !!

Memory not compatable or ram port doesn't support 2 gig memory. It's all i can think of.....another thing you can do is....put old mem back...upgrade bios and try new mem again, and then if still not working mail manufacturer for reason. JJ
