Question about Zebra QL 420 Thermal Label Printer

1 Answer

Can't connect via Bluetooth connection problem

When I try, I can "see" the printer but I get a request for a PIN, which is needed on both devices. I can make up & provide it for the handheld device (Symbol MC9660), but how do I put it on the 420 as well? Thanks for any help.

    gr0b,

Here are my settings from printout:

    Bluetooth:

    .local_name XXJS05-50-5020

    .authentication off

    .discoverable on

(Ealrier) I was not able to configure the Symbol 9660 with this local_name I think because it is alpha-numeric. Will "label vista" allow me to rename both devices?

    Thanks for your help!

Print a configuration label from the printer to get the BT settings, you may need to use "label vista"(zebra) to configure it. the keys are generated based of the BT mac

when pairing and it asks for and encryption key is has to be a minimum of 8 digits for it to work correctly.

Will "label vista" allow me to rename both devices? yes, but you will need a serial/usb cable.

also be careful not to get the encryption key mixed up with the authentication key.

My Rio Bluetooth touchpad keyboard when I connect with The Bluetooth dongle supplied is asking for pin before device pairs but there was no pin supplied when bought device so what do I do please help

Something I found with a Google search:

Entering the code "0000" will often work. If not, you may need to check the device's documentation (or perform a web search) to find the PIN it needs. By default, after the devices are paired, they'll automatically see each other and communicate when they're both powered on and have Bluetooth enabled.

I need to connect my nokia E63 phone via bluetooth but it will not respond

There is almost no way you can connect your phone via bluetooth to your car speakers. You can buy the cassette jack that allows you to connect a 3.5mm pin to your phone and whatever media you play would be projected out of the car speakers.
There are also a few devices that you can purchase to help you connect it through bluetooth,
Let me know if you need more assistance and thank you for using fixya

I can't get my phone to connect with other peoples

I assume you are trying to connect to another phone via Bluetooth. It would help quite a bit to know what kind of phone you are trying to connect to, but here is what you need to have configured on your phone for Bluetooth file transfers:

1. Create a link between your Motorola RAZR Phone and any Bluetooth Accessory 1.0 and up, you need to turn the Bluetooth connection "on". This is how: Go into your phone "settings". > Then select "Connection" > "Bluetooth Link" > "Set Up" > "Power" > "On". The connection will stay on until you turn it off. We recommend to turn it off when not in use to preserve battery life.

2. To connect your RAZR to another Bluetooth hands free kit or headset, go into "Settings" > "Connection" > "Bluetooth Link" > "Handsfree" > (Look for Device). You phone will scan for available devices located within the range of the RAZR, approx 30 feet away. If your cell phone is already connected to a Blue Tooth headset, you must disconnect from it to find other devices. Once you have identified your bluetooth device, highlight its name and click on the "select" button.
3. The Bluetooth device will ask permission to connect. Select "yes" and press the "select" button; after that you will be prompted to insert a PIN code to initiate a secure connection. The PIN code is usually provided by the Bluetooth device manufacturer, not the RAZR (unless you are connecting to another phone). Once the connection is made, you should see the bluetooth logo displayed on the internal screen, while the external screen Bluetooth indicator will flash.

4. You can now "Copy" media files to the phones nearby that you have connected to. Copy is an option while browsing through the files.
