Question about LG 24 in. LDF 7811 Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

OE Error I'm getting an OE error which is a drainage trouble error. I checked the hose and the drain, and everything is clear. My diswhwasher runs 98% of its full cycle and usually with 2 minutes to go I get this error. I have 2 opinins as to why this is happeneing. 1. Maybe the clog is in my trash compactor, however that seems to be working fine and my sink is funning with no slow down. 2. My 2nd theory is I have to reset the progam within the dishwasher. Like how sometimes I have to reset my cable box. Is there a code or a button code to reset the dishwasher like a cable box?

Same problem with no blockage. None of the service centers within 250 miles will help me. Said there is a problem with the company (LG) providing support and paying for warranty claims and they no longer deal with them. This is bad for us the consumer. This dishwasher is just 16 months old..... No support means no one should buy from this company.....

I have the same problem with my dishwasher although it is a different model number (ld-2040wh).

As one solution suggests, I suspect that the pump needs to be replaced as there is grease being pushed out the underside of the machine. This would indicate (to me anyway) that one of the seals in the pump is gone.

I am getting an OE error about 3 min into the wash.
It drains ok but does not seem to get any water in. All water hoses are flowing freely.
I know it drains because I manually put water in.
    Any suggestions would be great.

Just encountered the same problem, I manually put water in the bottom of the dishwasher and it pumped it out into the sink although without a lot of power.

I decided to call customer service first then my home warranty company if I don't get anywhere. Will post the resolution.

We had the same problem, our machine was less than 2 years old. The technician said it was the drain pump, it was not the drain hose which was a possibility. Since we'd had other problems with leaking under the door, the warranty kicked in and we bought a different dishwasher. I loved this dishwasher despite the leak problem. (Incidentally this seems to have been solved by LG with new evaporator in the door.)

An OE error code suggests that you have a drainage problem with the unit. Check for drain blockages.

Water is not draining.... OE symbol appears on display. Checked the connection up to sink and drainage out to garbage disposal. everything seems fine there!

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

OE is a drain error and is displayed when the washer is unable to drain water. Please check the drain hose and drain pump filter by removing the bottom front access panel for any clogs to clean the error. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Getting an error code OE in LG inverter direct drive dishwasher and water not draining

Hi Ged Lunny,

The OE error code means "Outlet Error"

The drain pump is either clogged or the outlet hose is kinked.
- Inspect the Drainage hose at the back for kinks.
- Open the unit, and at the bottom sump check the small drain pump area for any foreign object that may be obstructing it.

Kind Regards :-)

If you found this solution helpful, please rate it.

OE light comes on and the water does not pump anymore - what can i do????????????

Hello there :
Hey lg is having all kids of problems with their machines i have the error code for you but if you have a warranty i think i would use it this error code is the one i got from lg them selves ok?
"OE" Drain error > Condition: the drain hose kinked or blocked.
The drain outlet of sump is blocked. The drain pump/motor or circuit is troubled.(shorted )

and here is what you will need to check
Remove kink. check all drainage system and clear as necessary

Check wiring. Measure the resistance of drain motor if the resistance is (20-40ohms) Replace the drain motor or repair the circuit.
I hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

For LG WM2233HW, Error Code OE. Already check drain hose and filter, all clean. Try different cycles, TUB CLEAN, SPEED WASH. Same error code. No drain.

Replace the water pump. Because the water can not pump out, the machine idles for a while then stops with the error code OE. The technician said, the drain hose should be hang high before curse down to the drainage so air can not go to the hose.

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!

Error

The ?OE? indicates drainage trouble. It could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!
