WAVY PICTURE HI ! WHEN I'M OPENING THE TV, THE IMAGE IS SO WAVY THAT WE CAN'T SEE NOTHING. COMING BETTER AFTER 1/2 HOUR OR MORE. WHEN USING THE PIP, MAIN PICTURE IS BAD AND THE OTHER IS PERFECT ???

There is an issue with the circuit(s) controlling the focusing of image. At some point in the future it will always stay unfocused.

Better look into it.

There are many types of distortion. Each with its own cause. Please describe the type of distortion. Are there vertical lines? Are the images wavy? Are they off-color? Are they blurry? A better description will yeild a better response.

this is an inherit problem of this set - - search 'wavy line' and you'll see many samsung sets have this - there is no cure ! use the set with component or hdmi good luck

Cameras are subject to some unusual conditions due to lenses being round and the image you take being square. They work better the closer you are to the center of the lens. Normally you don't see this, but when you take a picture of something long and straight and it's near the edge of your picture, it can come up wavy or crooked.

You can recompose to avoid long straight things near the edge, or you can take several pictures and stitch them together in Photoshop. This will let you get the roofline more near the center of several pictures, and then after you stitch you can crop to make the photo the way you want.

You're dead on about the SLR, though. SLR's have bigger and better lenses, and on digital SLR's, the sensors are much bigger. This gives them huge advantages in how they focus light, and overall it makes the near edge lens issues less noticable.

You need to take your tv in and have the picture deflector re-aligned.  This doesn't cost much, My dad had to do that to his a few months ago and it cost 30 bucks.

CRT's (tubes) are shot.

Replace Both of your STKs they are your convergence ics they are big black ics have STK number on them if they are using 110s upgrde to 180s STK392-180 they are better ics. Call Electronix Parts 1-800-223-3205 they will have STKs.

It might be a factory problem. Plasma screens uses tiny bulbs to display images and if one is broken its better to change it and get a new one.

In your case it still has a warranty on it and on most electronic products you get a new one or your money back if you report a fault before 14 days.
