Question about Toshiba 42HDX82 42" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Toshibas have a problem with what is known as hypermodule. specifically with small micro caps on this board. technicians can replace these caps. VERY VERY tricky soldering.. idealy u can replace the module itself... trouble is these are not availbe...so u damage the board soldering. out of luck. the board itself is tricky to get to. it is inside metal sheildng. i come across these 1 or 2 times a month in our shop. they are trouble but i do repair them and it works out good. we charge around 450 to replace the eleven 10 microfard caps on this board...
