Readings about a battery on WPLN4079 charger

We have a WPLN4079 BMS unit where one of the batteries charged at 1351 mah at 8.5 volts. The battery itself is only 1200 mah. Is it possible to have a reading higher that its actual capacity?

Yes, it is possible. We see this many times with new or near new batteries. (Sidenote: While saying this we must note you can also get an incorrect reading if you are using the wrong battery cup/adapter. Just because the battery fits the cup doesn't mean it is the correct cup.)

I am wondering if anyone could help me please, i have bought some 2600 mAh AAA batteries for my video camera. I was wondering what kind of battery charger i would need to get to recharge these batteries?...

You dont need anything very advanced. 2600 is a nice high capacity for Ni-MH AA's and 1100 is really high capacity for AAA's. Here is a little panasonic charger that would do the job just fine.

Battery gets down in 3-4 days ,initially it shows 15-15.8 volts ,battery dealer says its probled =

From what you describe your battery pack is compromised either having a dead (weak) cell or cells or the battery monitoring system (BMS) is faulty, or a combination of both. When the dealer says it is a circuit problem, the circuit would be the charging circuitry (BMS). I suggest that if the battery has any age on it or high cycles (charges/discharges) then it most likely has a dead cell(s) and when deciding to change the battery pack be sure to have the BMS system checked and repaired if necessary.
Best wishes!

Can i use a coleman ac adaptor model 5232f640 for charge a car battery

Isn't that the power cord for a Coleman 40 qt Powerchill Thermoelectric Cooler? Without the proper equipment, you take a chance of over-charging and blowing up your battery as it would be a direct current with nothing to regulate it and no needles to let you know how much of a charge it has.
Why not catch a ride down to AutoZone and buy a NOCO/180 mAh 12 Volt solar battery charger (that's right, solar power charger) for less than $25? It comes with 8' of cable and suction cups to mount it on the car while it charges with sun light. Neat little things for sure. I own two.

My company has a Motorola battery maintenance system plus modle wpln4079ar. The employee that used this item is no longer with the company and we can not find the manual. I would like to use the system...

Basic instructions: When you have the battery, in the appropriate cup/adapter of your BMS WPLN4079 charger, wait for any sporatic activity on the screen to cease (there is usually a little number jumping from dropping the battery in), then press the analyze (or condition) button. Now your battery will cycle for anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. When it is done you will see a number representing the mAH on the screen. You take this number and divide it by the mAH capacity of the battery. This will tell you how good your battery is. 70% and above is acceptable. Anything below 70% you should consider replacement.

Conditioning your batteries once per month is usually sufficient. Rechargeable batteries have a two year life expectancy. With reconditioning on a monthly basis you can usually get up to 3 years out of a battery, if it is treated well.

You can read the date code on a Motorola battery by find a 3 or 4 digit number on the battery. The first number(s) are the year and the last two digits are the week of the year. Example 1130 or 130 would be 2011 the 30th week.

We are unable to find a user manual posted online. The Motorola part number is 6880309J85 you should be able to get one from your local Motorola dealer or online for $15 or under.

Best regards.

I need ni-cad battery specifications for Acoustic Research AW-721 headphones. I bought replacement ni-cads but they don't charge when the headphones are placed on the headphone cradle/charger.

The AR AW721 headphones require 3 AAA NiMH batteries, not Ni-Cad. The original batteries are 1.2 volt, 550 mAh. I replaced mine with Energizer 850 mAh AAA batteries, which work well and actually last longer per charge than the originals.

Note: This part number is for a BMS charger, not an Impress. However, you can charge and condition impress batteries on this charger provided you have the correct cup.

Amperege of 580 EX-II

Interesting Question!
The rating in milliamps is a matter of battery capacity and charging rates. The higher the better as you will get more flashes per charge as long as you have the correct charger to match the batteries’ capacity and use the correct charging times. Aside from this issue of duty cycle between charges- this has no effect on the power of the flash unit as to output. This cant burn out or damage the circuitry.

The issue here is VOLTAGE. Most AA alkaline batteries provide 1.5 volts. Most rechargeable AAs provide 1.2 volts. We are looking at a voltage differential of 1.2 volts (a 20% deficit) if 4 batteries are required. This MAY cause slower recycling times in order to attain a full charge for each shot. In SOME units that can cause a bit if overheating due to strain on the step up circuitry.

It so best to check with the manufacture or distributor of you flash unit before purchasing you rechargeable batteries and charger. If you units have a built in charging circuit this can definitely be problems if there is a mismatch in charging rates and voltage. If this is the case be sire to check your manual or with the manufacturer or distributor- there must be a list of compatible batteries.
