go to sears and purchase the fuel filter and fuel line kit for the chainsaw. in that kit will have a hook that you fish through the outside of the tank to the inside, you attach the new fuel line after attaching the fuel line to the fuel filter, to the hook, then pull it through the hole. disconnect the hook from the fuel line, cut the small piece off where the hook made the hole and attach to the carburetor. finish by pushing in the fuel filter inside the fuel tank. the kit will also have more detailed instructions and possibly with illustrations. if sears doesnt have the kit, check with a lawnmower repair shop.

Go to any small enj / lawnmower shop and they can help you as far as ordering carb parts, doesn't have to be
Sears. Prob has a zama carb, you can go to zama.com and look up your own carb kit # and then proceed to your local dealer, Not lowes or menards,walmart, has to be a true repair shop, I hope This helps you, also your carb will have a stamped number on it and that is your reference number

If you buy the gear kit part number 41A2817 it comes with instructions. It is available at any good door opener service company.
