These 2 things that may happen

1.- the cycle was interrumped

to find out if this was the problem let the dishwasher go full cycle with out opening.

If this won't solve the problem let do a cleaning because
sound like is plug.

What is aquastop

I presume that when you say it wont stop running, it's the empty pump that is running. This is an anti flood protection. Water from a spill has got into the base of the machine and tripped the flood protection sensor. To cure the immediate problem, pull the machine out and tip it on it's side or back about 45 degrees and the water in the base will run out and the flood protection will reset. The real question is though, how did the water get INTO the base? Most common is that someone used household detergent instead of dishwasher powder or tabs and the foam it created worked its way into the base and then turned back to water as it settled. If this is the case, the tip sideways will be a permanent fix. If not, you will need to trace and cure the leak

My asko d1706 dishwasher doesnt let water in. As I

Base pan full of water means there is a water leak. So your machine has a flood detector (floater) and it prevents feeding further water into the machine to prevent the flooding. I think this is the reason. You have to fix the leak.

Just to make sure first clean the base pan water and try it. It will work until again water leaks and activate the floater (flood switch)

Fisher and Paykel Nautilus Dishwasher wont advance to take water in .

The problem could be with flood switch at base of dishwasher. Press the float to check if it springs back. Otherwise switch under it is faulty.

How to reset the flood switch on a fisher & paykel

Hi - unfortunately my good friend it cannot be reset as one would like quite easily anyhow... water has found its way to the base of the drwaers and have activated the flooding switch - one could pull it apart to dry it - tip the water out from the base but if the leaks not repaired you will have the same problem later and will be on-going.

Displays E1 code. water is on

Hi there Dolly, error code E1 relates to water leaking. Its the code the machine displays when the flood switch in the bottom of the machine activates. The flood switch activates when the bottom of the machine gets filled with water from a leak. I surgest you have a look underneth the machine for signs of water. I hope this helps regards Gary.

Kenmore disposal hums, nothing jammed, everything moves freely, but wont spin. reset button stays tripped & wont catch

Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You shouldNEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.

Faulty dishwasher.

several poss faults tap turned on? if so probably the unit needs to have the meter tank and feed piping cleaned out. if this is all clean then it could be either the water valve is faulty or you have a leak into the base and the unit will not fill up when it is in "flood mode". (check this out by tipping machine to the side and see if any water pours from the base).

Dish washer not working, lights come on but nothing happens, will not drain water that is in there either.

flooding the sink won't have anything to do with the dishwasher.unless the check valve on the dishwasher got stuck closed. Can you hear the pump come on?
