SOURCE: wall air conditioning unit is dripping water into my condo

I have a 20 year old one that drips after a while on a hot day. I put a small bowl to collect it. It could be old or the ac unit ins't tilted enough to go outside.

Water dripping from air conditioning outlet when not switched on

When the A/C is not in use there is still condensation as your compressor will run at different times. Defrost is one, of course to cool the car is another. The condesation coming from that drain should be perfectly normal. My GMC Suburban drains all the time as well, and its usually because I leave my knob on the defrost setting even though the fan itself is off the compressor will still run as its hardwired to do so. If the compressor runs, the coil in your car will become cold resulting in the water you see. Hope this helps, thanks!

Celiera 51GW 18000BTU mini split a/c heat, water collects on top rear coil and drips into fan housing and comes out bottom

While cooling, water is supposed to drip off the evaporator coil and flow out the unit. That's a feature of air conditioning. You get a little bit of control of where the water drips to by installing tubing to conduct the water wherever you like, unless the outlet port is plugged up. Poke a toothpick up it and see if that unclogs it.

Air conditional water drip

That happened to us. It was a broken pump, pump was up in attic. attached to our inside air-con unit. We had it fitted on an inside wall of the house, and so a pump must be installed to take away the condensed water to the outside of the house. Hindsight being 20/20 I would never buy one that needed a pump to get the condensed water out of the house. We would have put it an outside wall where the water goes straight outside, no pump needed. Our First pump lasted just over 2 years so warranty was expired. Cost us over NZ$500 to have new pump installed. Never again. Only attach your unit to an outside wall, even it looks prettier on the wall where it would need a pump. Bottom line:- Don't touch a pump. Pump was cheap but labor cost for serviceman astronomical! Bet of luck.

The unit starts to drip water inside the house down the wall of the window that it is in

What you will need to do is reposition the window unit to where it is slightly tilted downwards in the rear so that the water flows out the backside.

Water is dripping inside of the house from unit. What can I do to fix this problem?

In order to fix this problem you can leave your air conditioner off when the outside temperature is below 80 degrees. If the problem persists, you can re-position the air conditioning unit in the window so that it is leaning towards the outside, thus causing the water to drip outside of your house.

Water leaks onto floor board from Air Conditioner, where is the air condition relief opening, I am sure the drip line is clogged.

caused by water running out the drip line and not falling off the drip hose due to improper angle.Water will run back down the lower outside of the hose and into the cabin.
Fixed my T&C by putting a tight rubber O ring on the engine side of the drip line neat the tip. Water will hit the O ring and drip off properly.

Do i need to change the water in my portable window air conditioner

There should no be any water in the unit. The water that drips out of the unit is a result of the humidity inside the conditioned space being removed and collecting on the coil. This drips off into a pan and drains out. The only thing that need to be either replaced or cleaned are the air filters and the coil in the back of the unit.

Dropping water

Are you loosing water from the inside of the radiator?...then it is a blown head gasket, or a cracked head/block. Is there steam coming out of the exhaust? Is the water dripping from the exhaust pipe and from the small factory hole in the muffler....then it is normal. Most likely, as every car with air conditioning, the evaporator core collects frost even in the summer and the A/C cycles to heat it, and melt it off. It is meant to drip through a small pipe, under the car, onto the ground. It is perfectly clear and clean water. It is normal functioning of the air conditioning. In the winter when the defrost is selected to clear the windshield, the automatic air conditioning produces cold dry air, which is then heated to clear the moisture. Frost collects on the evaporator core. The system cycles to heat it off from time to time and it will drip clear water in the winter when you didn't even know that the air conditioning was on. After all who needs air conditioning in the winter when you did not select it. The automatic system turned it on to dry the re-heated air to clear the moisture from inside the car.
