To reset The printer

Hello ,My machine is brother MFC-240C When i was printing a page , the paper got stuck in the machine . the machine said to remove the paper by removing the back cover . When i removed the paper from the machine still it was showing the same message on the LCD screen . This message was not going away , even if i cancelled all the prints from my computer . Then i plugged off my printer because it was not even switching off by pressing the off button . Now when i plug the printer and the usb to the computer , the printer starts , and within one second it restarts . The problem of restarting is continous . The machine automatically switches off and again restarts . I want to know that why is this happening ? And how the problem can be resolved . I think this problem can be resolved by myself but i dont know how to do it . as this problem happend some days earlier and one of my Friend resolved the problem . but my friend is not here at the moment , so it is urgent and i am waiting for your reply .... Thanks

Mfc-240c prints lines in black

It may be your printer head that needs to be flashed. if you have not use the printer in a wile, the ink drys out and clog up the nozels. Do printer head cleaning, if not work, use paper towel with a little warm water, press the printer head on it.

Multi-Function Center MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer: i get the message "print unable 36" displayed on m...

Error code 36 is generally because of a paper jam that was not cleared. Remove the rear jam cover (the plastic cover in the back center of the machine)and the paper tray and check for any pieces of paper. Sometimes just a scrap will remain, but it's enough to cause the machine to not work.

Once you've replaced the covers, if the jam code does not reset, turn the machine off and then back on.

I have a Brother MFC 240C printer that will not print black ink. I just changed all the cartridges. All the other cartridges print. I ran the clean cycle many times. No error messages just blank paper.

I have a brother MFC 3240C. My Black ink stopped printing(initially printed horizontal faded lines and gradually got worse), the other colors were printing fine. I tried cleaning numerous time( 50 -100 times over 1-2 weeks ). Still no improvement. The way I print now is:
1. I go to Printer Properties
2. Change Media type from "Plain Paper" to "Inkjet Paper".
3. Change Quality to "Photo".

This takes a long time to print 1-2 minutes per page. However, this works for me since this is my Home printer and use it for printing only few pages here are there.

Good Luck

How do i reset a brother mfc 240c

To reset the MFC-240C, hold down the power button for 3 or 4 seconds. The lights on the display should go out and the printer should slowly turn itself off. Once it is off, hit the power button again to restart it.

If the power button does not work (as sometimes happens with paper jams or other error conditions) you can unplug the machine's power cord in order to reset it.

Regular paper jams and printed images are not straight

hi,
follow these steps:-
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  3. Remove all paper trays and any paper that may be stuck between the tray and the printer. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  4. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  5. Turn the printer back on. If you continue to receive a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again. If issue still persist and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it's likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issue and i suggest contacting theprinter manufacturerfor additional assistance and/or repair.
Thanks!

Message unable to print 50

Machine Error 50 either means that there is a loose object inside the machine (usually piece of paper), or that there is a mechanical error which would need you to have the machine sent to service.

What is 'print unable 51' never had a paper jam!

Do the following:

Print Unable

The machine has a mechanical
problem.
—OR—
A foreign objects such as a clip or
ripped paper is in the machine.

Open the scanner cover and remove any foreign
objects inside the machine. ( You might try cleaning the scanner glass.)
If the error message continues, disconnect the machine from
the power for several minutes and then reconnect it.

Try this and let me know what happens. Binary Bob
