Kodak ESP-3 Printer Red Flashing Light

I am getting a paper jam error, but there is nothing caught in the printer. I checked multiple times, under the top, taking off the back, etc. Paper seems to feed through fine when I push the copy/resume button.

Couple of things.
1. Look inside the printer by the print head. On one side you should see a felt pad of some sort. Make sure this has not come loose. If it has, it can block the path of the print head and will read paper jam. I have seen this mostly with the ESP 5, but I suppose the same could happen with the 3.

2. This way is kind of long but will clear a lot of problems. Open the top of the printer and remove both cartridges and the print head. Unplug the power supply and close the printer. Wait about 30 seconds. Now plug the power back in and wait until the printer stops moving inside. Open the printer and instal just the print head. Unplug and wait 30 seconds. Repeat this procedure with installing the black, then the color. Make sure you unplug for 30 seconds and wait for the internal parts to stop moving between each step. his should fix everything. It has worked for me several times. These really are a decent printer, just a little glitchy sometimes.

3. Make sure a paper has not gotten wadded up and is hidden inside to the left or right of the print head. I have seen this twice in the ESP 3.

Hope this helps.

I had this problem. It turns out that there was a felt cusion on the left of the print head when you open the lid which had been put in their to protect it and needed removing. You could try that.

Kodak ESP Office 2170 Paper Jam code 3524

Actually, to fix it, you need to disassemble the printer.
The smallest part inside the printer can trigger this error code. The printer needs to be taken apart, clean, check the paper feeder that it's not crooked or missing a piece.
I recommend that you take it to a profesional, because if you do it yourself, you need to have a bottle of crazy glue, in case something breaks, that's how we fix it.

Try this:

To resolve the error:
  1. Press the On/Off button on the printer control panel to turn off your printer.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Press the On/Off button to turn on your printer.
If the error continues, double-check that all paper and foreign objects are removed from inside your printer.

My kodak esp 3 printer has a red flashing light on both inks and a flashing E. I've changed both cartidges and still have the same problem.

The printer contacts do not connect with the printhead contacts. The contacts may be dirty; the best way to clean the contacts is by reseating the printhead multiple times. . If that's doesn't work you will need to contact Kodak for a new printhead. Log onto www.kodak.com and find the relevant support team. Give them a call. The warranty on your AiO is 15 months so be sure to make your printer in warranty ;-). (By the way, most of the agents are happy if you tell a little white lie about your printers warranty coz it gives them less work. Also remember begore calling, ITS NOT THE AGENTS FAULT THAT YOUR PRINTER BROKE!!!

I have an ESP-3 All in One which is flashing the red light for a paper jam. I have cleared out both the back & front of the printer & it still shows error. Its also trying to load the paper really...

I had the same problem just this morning. I ended up disconnecting the power a few times, and finally the printer sucked in all the paper that was loaded in the tray, spat them out and then it was fine. Just try unplugging the power cable a few times and turning it back on and see what happens.

Hello,

It means it has "paper jam"error message. This is a common issue w/ the ESP printers of Kodak especially if its brand new.

Try the steps below.

1.Open the printer access door.
2.Remove the black and color ink cartridges.
3.Reseat the printhead.

a. Lift the printhead release latch
b. Reseat the printhead, pushing firmly on the white label on the printhead (if provided) or the center of the printhead, until it clicks into place.

NOTE: You may also visit www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport for demonstration on reintalling the printhead

4. Close the access door.
