Question about Televison & Video
Check all the capacitors you can find on the boards.... not just visually but with your fingers.... any that feel swelled up and or rounded on the top have failed. i realize this isn't the same as an lcd monitor but i had the same symptoms with it that you are experiencing and that was the fix... before you start touching the capacitors make sure the power has been off for at least a half hour... and still be careful.
