U need to take it to the verizon st0re. they will reflash it for free. that means they replace the old file system with a new updated one. make sure you have backed all your music and photos. reflashing CAN delete them.

This is Jon from THE CELL PHONE GUY in Sioux Falls SD, this issue is a formatting issue for your sd card its usually not a problem when you go from a LG to another LG but i can see it happening. The best way to do it without loosing all your data is to sync your Scoop up with your PC and transfer all your data to your computer off the SD card. and Then do the Vise Versa with your Envy 3 sync it to your PC and transfer from the computer to your phone. Make sure that after you put all the data from the scoop to your pc that you put the sd card in the envy and make sure you go into the memory settings and format the card to the envy. This will delete all the data on the card but luckily you should have already put all that on your computer. after the card has been formated then connect the computer to the envy and transfer the data back. This should be the best way to do it without loosing any of your data.

As long as you have a memory card in your phone, all you need is an LG data cable attched to the phone and your pc. The pc will recognize the card as an external mass storage device and you can simply drag and drop your files from the card to the pc and vice versa.
In order for the phone to work with ur pc u have to set/change the connectivity.
Go into Phone settings, then Connectivity, then USB Connection Mode, then select either Mass storage or Data Service, to use Mass Storage you must have a Memory card inserted into the phone, then you can select mass storage and use your phone as an external hard drive/memory stick. In this mode u can only transfer pics, music, videos etc from pc to phone and vice versa via your Computer Windows Explorer.
It will not enable you to use the LG PC suite Application. To use the LG PC suite, you must select Data Service, then connect your phone to the PC via a USB port.
the only way I can get this to work is to treat the memory card as a storage device (like a memory stick) On the phone go to settings, connectivity, usb connection then select mass storage.then transfer the MP3 files using copy and paste in My Computer You can then create playlists or use the music player as normal.
Do you mean you want to tranfer files or music files from your computer to your phone so you can enjoy music on your device? If so let me tell you that BLUETHOOTH or the SOFTWARE CD are not the best or fastest ways to sync or transfer files from your computer to your phone or vise versa, so Im going to tell you the safest, fastest, and Easiest way to do it, using your USB ,but it may require you to change settings manually on your device first. Make sure you have a Memory card, Choose settings for USB connections 1.Find "USB connection mo..."
Once you've done this and have your memory in your device, Open the MY COMPUTER folder in your computer and connect your device to your computer using the USB cord, a new Icon will appear containing the folders from your device's memory card, that way you will easily be able to transfer files back and forth without the NEED of any sofware Cd's or use slow Bluethoot.
it might not work because as i know the maximum external mem that you can put in sch-u740 is just 2-gig micro sd... that's why it won't work and there were times that it might shut down or turned off automatically....
I went through the same trouble. After a small investigation I've found that the USB driver wasn't install. I just ran the setup and it worked imediatly C:\Program Files\LGE GSM PC Sync\USB Setup\LGUSBModemDriver_ML_WHQL_Ver_4.6.exe
