If you hit F8 just before it boots, there should be a menu that will let you repair or start the system with the last known good configuration. That may help you.

I have installed Ubuntu , due to some errors I uninstalled that software but the booting menu to select the OS is still coming. How I can able to change to the settings for automatically booting windows 8.

In system properties there are now 2 entries for booting your computer. You need to edit your system .ini file located in the windows folder.
you simply remove the line relating to the second boot option.
DO NOT remove any other text in here or your system will not boot again.

When booting desktop doesn't load

There are a couple of quick fixes you can do.

First, boot into Safe Mode (Repeatedly tap the F8 key while the system is booting, before the windows logo appears) A Menu will pop up, press Boot Into Safe Mode. From there you can try a System Restore to a known good date.

System Restore - Click Start -> Control Panel -> On the top right, type "System Restore" without the quotes. Click on "Restore system files and settings from a restore point". You can choose the recommended restore or a specific date.

The other option is to boot into "Last Known Good Configuration". To do this, use the F8 trick again while booting, but instead of Safe Mode choose "Last Known Good Configuration".

Please note that either of these run a risk of some data being lost from the time the restore point was made. You "shouldn't" lose anything but just want to make you aware.

If this helps please give a good rating. Thanks.

Can someone provide me online recovery disk of gateway 7330gz

You must set the boot sequence of the system to cd/dvd rom first which will enable the system to look for booting files in the disc in the first instance.

In your case your system is booting direct from hard disk. Boot sequence can be changed ib the bios setup of your system.

In some laptop models the restore files can be accessed by pressing function keys while system starting.

Booting to Operating System

Have you tried booting from CD? Does it still happen? If so, your RAM might be damaged. Or it might be an overheating problem. Check the fan outtake for dust.
