Maytag gas dryer. Heating element comes on however, not every time does the gas click on so I get heat. Gas line is fine. What causes the click that gets you heat for dryer?

That would be the "igniter" you hear. You may have a problem with the igniter or the 2 coils on the gas valve. Below are links to the parts.

Our Neptune gas dryer seems to work fine but suddenly produces no heat. The vent is clear and the gas line attached and open.

Look at the glow ignitor. If it is broken then it needs to be replaced. About 20 dollars, and a 5/16 wrench will fix this issue, just make sure that you unplug the dryer before you start touching the electrical. This piece is located in the bottom of the dryer behind the back panel.

Using a Maytag Ensigna gas dryer. Worked fine until tonight. Dry rolls, blower works, but pilot does not light so there is no heat.

sounds like the electronic igniter is not working ...I suggest you contact a gas appliance repairman and get it checked. You do not want to fool with any gas appliance

2 year old maytag gas dryer blowing warm air

Hi, Is there ant heat at all? Is it possible the dryer heats at first and stops later in the cycle? The first thing to check is the 4" vent going to the outside. Make sure it is cleared of lint and that it is not pinched off at all.
If the vent is ok, you might need to replace the coils on top the gas valve.
I can help you with this. I just want to narrow it down.
