Channels only go up to 14 then bluscreen after that, i have basic cable that should got to channel 64, i am using universal remote so i have to fix from tv

Check antenna cable setting in menu. If you have it on antenna and cable plugged in, you will not pick up anything past channel 13. Change it to cable setting in menu.

No problem. Go into menu to channel or tuner setup.. When it was unplugged the tuner reset to air and needs to be changed to cable and then auto program the channels..

Skips past all channels after 13. CableVision

I don't know the exact step to set it because I don't know you model TV. When you go to menu set channels it should give you the option to choose cable or air. If you pick cable all your channels will be in VHF which is what you want. If you pick air the first 13 channels will be VHF and the rest will be UHF which cable don't work on. After you pick cable then auto program and you should get all your channels. If this helps you and I hope it does give me a vote please.

I can only see 13 channels... why is that ?

If you have your TV connected directly to a cable system without a converter box, be sure the TV is set for "cable" or "CATV" tuning. You'll probably find it's now set for "air" or "antenna" mode. In that case, you'll only get 13 channels. Channels 14 and up won't be found. Switch tuning modes, let the set scan channels and you should have the full selection.

Hope this has helped. Thanks for using Fixya!

I am trying to get channels above 13. I do not

Try bringing up the menu by holding both volume buttons down at the same time (or use menu button on remote if you have it). Go into CH SET using the channel and volume buttons on the front of set (or use the SET + and - and the ENTER buttons on remote). Go to the TV CATV line and move the arrow to CATV. Let menu time out. This will put tv into cable mode. Hope this helps.

Programming Channels

Your TV is likely set for "AIR" tuning rather than "CABLE" mode. In this case channels above 13 don't tune correctly. The tuning mode is adjusted through the setup menu (it's been too long since I've seen one of these to remember exactly how the menu looks). Once you set the tuning mode for cable, all the available channels should come in properly.

But you've said you have satellite, so you should have a satellite receiver connected to your TV, and you'd be changing channels there rather than on the TV. Your TV would be staying on channel 3 or 4 (if using the satellite antenna output connection), or on the A/V input you have the satellite connected to (if using the direct A/V outputs). Am I missing something about your system?

Cannot watch channels past 13

Your tuner settings must be set on broadcast instead of cable. Below channel 13, they use the same frequencies so it doesn't matter. Find the tuner settings page in the menus and change the cable/air setting.
