Is the satellite connecting? If so, make sure you have not set a start location for the routing within whatever software you are using. Also, try changing the settings to "fix on roads", on or off and see what happens.

If you were panning the map while navigating, the map on the display will stay where you panned to; despite the fact that you are still moving. You need to exit "pan" mode by pressing the PAGE button (right side, top button). Good Luck.

How to find the route instruction on tomtom go

Assuming you already have specified where you wish to go, and the device shows the map (of your current location) on the screen,
you can touch the screen to see the MENU screen ... then look for (on the Menu screen) a browse map option, and you'll see the route (to your destination) displayed.
If you're looking for a list of turn by turn text instructions, e.g. turn right to XXXX street, go for NN miles, etc. you may not find it displayed on your TomTom device.

Convert kilometers to miles

If your question is how to display the distance information in miles, instead of kilometers ... it is a setting option you can change.
Touch the center area of the driving screen to view the menu ...
Tap on Change Preferences ... and move to the screen (near the end) to Change Setting
Tap on Set Units ... and get to and select Miles
Then finish/exit ... and all your distance units will be displayed in Miles

Hi there, i use the GPS's for pinpointing leaks

That could be a problem, as I understand it the GPS will be with-in maybe 50 meters of location, never really for pinpointing the exact place... just like when you set it to go to an address you may be at the driveway to the place but the house is still 50 ft away down the driveway.

not sure if the 205w does it but if you press and hold the satellte bars on the unit the satellite screen will come up and say the foot accruacy may be. The more satellites that the unit sees it will pinpoint the location better, it takes 3 to triangle a set point

Speed restriction on Mi was at 50 miles but has been lifted and now at 70 miles. My garmin is still bleeping at 50 miles??? I have tried web updater but still bleeping.

You have to go into the change preferences and change the speed manually, if you get stuck look in your user guide, or connect your sat-nav to your computer and open tomtom home click help click view manual

The device does not pick up current location. It defaults to a location 700km away from where I am. Also, the time is incorrect - how do I change the time.

i dont see a brand so i will give a genrealized answer.
By current location i assume the opening screen display reverts to a default location which is what location it was initially set at or is a default in the unit. Most GPS give you an option to set Your STATE and home location. this is usually in SETTINGS Menu. The time and data are also changable inthe same area using you country location and then the State and any daylight savings offset that might apply. These are sometimes, volatile as there is no power to keep these settings alive when in off mode only in standby mode. the button on front of unit. If the master on/off is selected your settings weill revert back to default so its wise to keep it well charged if you use it every day and want to maintain your preferred settings. Hope that helps you

I have the same problem, it started after updating. Spoke with Lowrance tech and said it is a hard drive problem.
I had to purchase a 600 for $250 because they gave me a discount for having paid for the update and the unit
is malfunctioning. They refused to consider that it may be a software problem. The screen loses calibration and
the unit goes balistic with the orientation. Have had the unit for 4 years with no problem until updates were installed

How do you open a nuvi 350 Coffee leaked into unit under display screen. Unit still works fine.

If you don't get any advice on opening the unit then you can evaporate any liquid back out. Suggest you put it in a warm location for a few days and let the water content evaporate. The dry residue shouldn't cause any problems and it will probably be stuck to the surface that the liquid was touching at the time.

You say it is 30 miles away because you know the route to the specified location. 16 miles means that the distance directly from your location to the specified location.
