I have the exact same unit in a 2nd home we just purchased and when the repair guy came, he said "it was in perfect working condition". Mine also has next to no agitation, I think a goldfish swimming around in a bowl makes more motion. I absolutely hate this washer and will replace it asap.
have you checked if the cover plate at back of machine is still in shipping position? some machines have cover placed back-to front, and need to be removed and re-fitted with bulge facong outward. hope that is the solution to your problem Bruno Man
Your best bet would be calling GE and see if there is a part number for those bolts and where you can get those.. Installer usually throw those away after installation..
Here is their tel #1 800 626 2000
look in back of mach for 4 shipping bolts.they are usually housed in a rubber grommet surrounded by a yellow plastic shaft.if they are there remove all 4 of them.also remove bottom access panel by taking out 2 screws(1 on each bottom corner)look for 1 or 2 yellow steel bars connecting base to tub.if they are there remove.if none of these shipping bolts or brackets are there, you have a broken basket.if that's the case, try to get your money back or buy a new mach.it is a $600 repair..good luck
Usually, the problem with frontloaders shaking violently is that shipping materials are still in them (even if you've paid someone to install them). Generally on frigidaire models they have two sets of shipping materials. The first set is a set of 4 shipping bolts on the back panel. After removeing these, on some models, you also have to remove the lower front panel by taking out the screws. On a few of the models you will find 2 yellow metal bars connected to the bottom of the washer and the bottom of the tub. After removing both sets of shipping materials, make sure not only is your unit level, but all feet are firmly on the floor and locked into place. Your machine should have come with a set of instalation instructions that will run you through these steps more clearly, but if you don't have them or are still having trouble, just reply back to me.
most of the time with this problem they have not removed the shipping bolts get your owners manuel refer to the installation instructions under remove shipping bolts before operating look and see if they removed them i think they are marked in yellow if not call them and tell them to come do their job and pull the bolts that is a good washer and make sure they level it let me know please
