Hello . First thing is remove the starter rope and check to see if the flywheel turn by hand . If turn by hand you have a bad recoil starter , if does not turn by hand the piston is seized . Remove the spark plug and put 2 or 3 drops of oil (2stroke mixing oil) on the spark plug hole and try to turn it again by hand . If still does not turn you have to replace the piston and maybe the cylinder .
Hope this help

How to repair spring starter on FL1500LE

The casing is situated so the spring faces the starting spool. The spool is plastic and the rope is wound around it. The hook goes to the spool. Put it back together carefully! Good luck...Lee

Weedeater pull cord won't pull out on a leaf blower

Suggest to remove recoil housing/assembly and try to rotate the flywheel. Remove the spark plug & check for a silver or aluminum color or coating.
If the flywheel will not turn by hand, the piston/cylinder is seezed. No further repair is affordable.

If the flywheel turns by hand and the spark plug is a dark brown color, then focus your attention to the recoil assembly to see if rope is bound or wound around the rope rotor.

How to get the spring & starter rope back together on a weedeater featherlight leaf blower. model #FL1500LE

easiest is to take a slotted screwdriver, poke into the underside air intake and rotate the wheel a bit...usually the rope goes right back in...if not take the three screws out and release the rope.....while your there give it a few twists to loosen it will do this soon enough when the rope breaks :)

well, either the screws that hold the plastic on (thats hooked up to the rope) are loose, or the spring in the recoil is wedged, missing, or dislodged. Might want to take off the recoil and check for any missing parts, wedged in or dislodged. if none of these is the case, try asking a person at your local hardware store, (home depot, westlake, strausser, harbor-freight, Lowe's)
