DVD PLayer? Is it possible to get the DVD deck (seperate) for this system, i have the CD system. it would make life so much easier. I love this stereo and would like to replace the rubbish DVD player with one that fits into the system. Also can it be region Free?

You broke the ribbon connector that bounds your changer and tape deck to the sound processor (the black long ribbon that is permanently mounted to the tape deck) - the cheapest option is to get a new tape deck (around 20-£30 on ebay) or hount for replacement ribbon

I have had a Yamaha CC90 system and enjoy it for 17 year.
Problem with CD player caused by worn of the belt that activate the CD drawer.

is it a seperate cd deck? i.e. seperate from the main amp? if so try it with another amp. If it does the same then the CD player needs fixing or its probably cheaper buying a replacement.

Most cd players are in the main dash panel. If you do not have a cd slot, you likely don't have a cd player. These vans usually don't come with them and you have to install an aftermarket cd player.
If you have a cd disc changer, it is likely in the very rear of the vehicle.

Ebay, and other places online, most of the time the changer is a seperate unit from the actual deck. just look around if you could post the actual brand and model of the unit in the vehicle then i could be more detailed but as of right now i say just look around as most of them connect into the actual deck and are not part of it.

If it's a Rosen dvd player the dvd will need to be put in the unit itself & not the unit in the dashboard! The dvd player mounted in the head ligning is a seperate unit from the stereo system fitted in your dashboard!
Sounds to me like you are putting a dvd into the dashboard stereo system which will play any audio through the car speakers...
Put a dvd into the Rosen unit itself & i am sure you will get a picture on the drop down screen! Remember that as far as i know all Rosen dvd players transmit the sound from the dvd to infra red headphones that should be included! Remember to check the batteries if you still can't hear any sound as they run down quick if the headphones are left on!

First, you should never use commercial cleaners on CDs or cassette heads. They can create more problems than cures.
Unit may have bad disk motor or optical pick-up

OK, this is pretty easy to do. First connect your leads from the component outputs(i.e., tape, cd, phono, etc) to the recievers corresponding input for the device. Then connect the recievers outputs to your equalizer, if it is a seperate eq. Then the outputs of that to your amplifier, then your speakers to that. Be sure all of your wires are connected with the proper polarity. These instructions may be a little different for your exact setup but basically follow the same order minus any device you dont have.

i have an aiwa stereo system model no: cx- za20k ,the twin cassette deck works fine,but there is no playback from the c d player,the stereo takes 3 cd s and the player just says reading and changes to the next cd endlessly any one help please
