You should try www.unlockbiosrecovery.com and for $20 they will send you a bios master password that will clear any bios passwords set. I use them in my laptop repairs quite often. They also unlock hard drives on laptops for most brands.
I know how you feel as my HP pavilion has had the same blue screen ansking for the 'drivelock multibay password' . the good news is i have fixed it just 5 mins ago.
I agree with lucky4lynn2 that you have to get into the bios first. Lets see if I can show you how I helped it to boot up:
at the blue screen I pressed the F10 Key which took me into setup
i then selected the security tab
and then I think I selected drivelock password
and then selected the "Notebook hard drive" item where I tried to disable, with no success
PLEASE NOTE ROB: at this point I noticed that each time that i tried to disable the password it kept returning to the item 'Notebook hard drive' . I thought to myself that maybe this is the password and not just an item on the list, so I carefully wrote down .. Notebook hard drive .. taking note of capitalization and spaces and then exited setup.
I then noticed that there was nowhere to enter the password so i carefully typed .. Notebook hard drive .. onto the keyboard, and waited. After about 1 min a small 'OK' appeared inside the blue box and my heart leaped for joy inside my chest.
I waited... and a black screen apeared with the wite cursor blinking
and I waited... this time about 5 mins passed and then windows started to load. Thank God!
I hope you get some joy out of this post and it's not too late for your notebook.
seems like the access to your harddrive is password protected at BIOS level, try another hd. if same message occurs, please renew your request at fixya!
Will your NX6110 allow you to get into the Bios before the drive lock password coes up? If it doesnt and you dont know the password, you have two options. One being to send the laptop off somewhere to get the password an pay thru the nose. The other is just to buy another hard drive and re-load your system. Those passwords are build into the hard drives and there is really no way to get the password easily. You could of course pay for a machine that will hopefully get your password, but why pay all that money just to use it once, or twice. It comes down to the facts of how importand is the data on your hard drive?
Please lv more info and i will help
