Question about Computers & Internet
I backed up my computer to my Western Digital Passport Elite, reformatted my hard drive and reloaded all software. I then restored everything from the Western Digital. It renamed most files by adding a dot & five digit number (.12345) after the file name which I don't like. Why did it do that? How can I get the numbers removed? What can I do so that backups in the future don't do the same?
Use different software to back up your files, and as to the (.12345) you would have to go through and rename each one, and yes it can take a very long time, been there done that
