I have a canon clc2620, it gives out error E000020-04b0 which is a drum end of life, but my drum still looks new. Is there a way in service mode where I can reset the Black Drum counter.

SOURCE: MX310 error code U163

Hello,

Can you tell me, have you replaced the empty tank with a full one? And, have you manually reset the ink level function by pressing Stop/Reset for a full 6 seconds (one second longer than described in your manual?)

If you have, and you still see the ink cartridge light flashing, does it flash every second or every three seconds?

The contacts for the ink cartridge are easy to contaminate by accident. Sometimes wiping the contacts off with alcohol will clean them enough for the ink level to be recognized.

Now, and yes, this is a common problem. Press and Hold the Stop/Reset button for 6 full seconds again after cleaning the contacts and then release it? Use the one Mississippi method of counting.

The Scan cover must be closed completely and locked in place. And the ink cartridge must be firmly locked in place as well.

Please advise me of your results. There may be a more complex problem involved and it is important to have the necessary data in order to get you back to working again. Okay?

How long has it been since you purchased this printer?

Regards,
Worldvet

SOURCE: Can't get past step 2 of the Canon i550 waste tank counter reset.

Hello you can try
Problem for Canon BubbleJet i560 InkJet
The waste ink is in the inside of your printer you need to get at it to clean out,
It may be all screwed down so you need to open all up or get a shop to do it for you.
It not an easy job but maybe you are handy with a screwdriver, it can be messy job.
But after this, you will have to reset the waist ink counter or it will still not work,

But but but but you can always try this to reset it first and clean it out again some time.

Canon Reset waste ink counter
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

WHEN MY PRINTER SHOWS UP THIS CODE E000020-0470 WHAT DO I DO?

Go into service mode and chech under misc. It will give you reading for drum life Canon call it % but its not exact ... I would not let this exide 250 as drums start to drop toner and cause transfer belt slippage causing registration problems .. Mag is the most troublesome drum . (%)count carries reading with it and resets to 1 when you install a new drum .. New software has helped drum life issues but seems to double reading on a once off on drums installed during flashing .. Good Luck

Hi I have a canon IR2570ci which is showing error code E000020-0290 can anyone tell me what the fault is and if a part needs replacing ?

Go into service mode and check under misc. Good Luck but if this doesn't work then it might be that you have a fuser heating error, which is either caused by a faulty temperature sensor, or the related circuit or possibly a blown heater element.
The copier will lock itself out, and will need to be reset by a technician, after it has had the cause of the fault cleared, this is a safety condition. It is to prevent runaway heating possibly causing a fire.
You will need a technician to fix this

E000020-01a2 showing this error

This an error code for the yellow color. The E020 is related to toner or drums. The 01 is for yellow but my book doesn't have the a2 part. How long has it been since the yellow drum has been changed? It's good for about 40,000 prints. Go into service mode and go to copier, display, dens, then misc. This will give you the approximate life of each color drum as expressed as a percentage of life. Hope this helps.

How do I find the re-maining drum life on my Canon IR C3200 copier

Get into service mode by depressing the Additional Function key, the 2 and 8 keys at the same time and then the Additional Function again. You should then see a menu of options. Press the COPIER key, it will highlight. Then display a new set keys across the top of the display, then press DISPLAY, then MISC then see DRM-LF. The number is dipslayed as the % of life left in the drum. Most of the time the drums go further than 100%. The copier will then indicate an error code such as E020-04B0 when the drum is failing. The first two digits after the dash indicate the drum 01 - Yellow, 02 - Magenta, 03 - Cyan, and 04 - Black. Be careful in service mode, it can really get you into trouble if you don't know what you're doing. Good Luck

Canon IR3100CN has a error message E0000200081 any help

E020-081...
Dirty Drum patch sensor OR the drum has reached 100% of it's life.
iRC3100 drums NEVER go past 100%...once they reach that magic figure in the counters then it's time for a drum replacement.
If you know how to access service mode then check under:
COPIER>DENS>P-SENS-P and make sure that the figure is around the 500 mark...if it's below say,250 then that indicates that the drum patch sensor is having trouble reading correctly and may either need cleaning or a new drum unit.

Error code E000020-01b0

My opinion is that You need to replace drum.Under service mode try to see the drum life if it says 80-100% change it!

E020 There is a fault associated with the drum/developer.
For the first 2 digits of detail code xx12 through xxD0,
xx=01: Y
xx=02: M
xx=03: C
xx=04: Bk

xxBO:

The drum unit is approaching the
end of its life and is causing the
T/D ratio to drop. The ATR
sensor has an open circuit.

The fault occurs when an image is
being formed. It is detected when
toner supply operation is started.

IR2270 copier displaied error code E000020-000

It's concerning the toner level in the dev unitor drum unit. Try entering service mode and selecting 'install' this will stir toner and try to feed toner through. Could be a dirty or faulty toner level sensor. Cuuld also be the drum life over - check drum life in the service mode. Check my other posts to see how to enter service mode

Error Code showing E000020-0160. Help soon.

Your error code relates to your yellow drum unit. It probably need replacing. Enter service mode by pressing - the additional functions key (key with star in it) then 2 and 8 together - then the additional functions key again. This will bring you into service mode. Now select 'COPIER' and then 'MISC' this will then list the drum life in percent for each colour drum unit - you'll probably find that it is well over 100%. Maybe even 200 or more. In any case this is just an indication because the drums can even last 300% at times. You'll probably need a new drum unit.
