Re: keypad

I'm pretty sure, that any technician will know, that the phone has been in the water. Liquid contamination damage on the board (PCB or PBA) will be present and event will not, Samsung uses liquid indicators in their phones. It is a small piece of paper with violet crosses (3 pcs). They will get white if the phone was in the touch with any liquid. Even phone could work, there can be a problem like a "short battery life" or device will get overheated. In this case, just open the phone (don't worry about, it's pretty easy) and put the white metaldom down. Then clear key pads on the board with as strong alcohol as you have. Clean the metaldom too (just those small iron pieces). Put it back and tadaaa... Everithing works. If there is a problem with sub keys, do the same. Don't worry, D500 is very easy to be opened. My palm centro fell into some water last night and now none of the buttons are working, the touch screen works. What should I do? Can I take off the keypad so I can try to dry it out under there?

You can try to take the keypad off and see if that works. It sounds like the board that controls your keypad might be ruined. If you can't get it to work take it to a cell phone shop and see what they charge. Be sure to shop around and be sure to tell them you are doing so. They are competitive but also overcharge people when they know they can.

The keypad do not work

Either a software re flash may help or a keypad replacement. Usually facial moisture could be a cause of this. i would recommend trying a blow dryer on the keypad for 40 seconds with out the battery to see if that fixes the problem

Button fell off phone.

No, you will have to replace the entire keypad or just stick it using some super glue. Don't take the phone apart.

My phone also fell into a bucket full of water. I just gave the phone to the service center for repair and it's now absolutely fine.

I would suggest you to do the same. Also, don't try to switch on the phone as it may lead to short circuit in your phone.

Thank You

Water damaged Moto razor

I know you don't want to here this, so be kind with your rating, but the best solution is a new phone. The reason is this: no matter what you do, water is a conductor and the dried residue it leaves behind will also short things out. And water will get to places that you can't.

Sorry, hope that helped save you some time...

V3 got wet

sorry to say this but a wet phone is ruined. You will have to take it to a tech at your phone server. They will either repair it or you will have to get another one. Water and phones do not go together at all. Sux.
