Jijo This is a Motherboard or a stuffed HDD issue. You can replace the HDD without voiding the warranty and Sony will even provide the instructions whoever if its a motherboard issue you will have to send it back so....either way its an issue right now where you will have to contact Sony.

Wen i power switch my PS3 red light comes on then wen i pressed down once to get in on beeps once, then green light comes on for a second then yellow light to a steady BLINKING RED LIGHT!!! And does NOT...

This is called the yellow light of death. Cause is sever heat damage to the internal components. Either send it in for repair or replace. Sorry about this but the truth is brutal.

My PS3 wont turn on it just flashes a yellow light then red light that beeps cant get disc out

I found a way to eject the disk:
  1. Power off the PS3 on the main switch on the back of the console
  2. Press and hold the Eject button
  3. Turn on the main power switch
  4. The PS3 LED will go green and the fan will spin at max speed
  5. Wait a few seconds and press the eject button a couple of times, the disk should now eject
  6. watch the PS3 die after 30s or so…
This procedure did not fix my PS3 but at least I got my disk back before sending it to Sony for repair.

I have have a playstation 3 and when I hooked it up to my tv as I normally do there is no picture or sound. I then tried switching to my HDMI cable with the same results. Yes, I made sure I set my tv input...

Try powering on you unit press and hold the power button and the eject button for 30 sec unti the power light begins to flash thats going to reset the setting of your ps3, and if that does not work i would rec> sending it out so sony if its still under warranty or exchanging it from where u bought it.

Nothing comes up on tv when i turn ps3 on and controllers wont connect

Read this very carefully. Turn off your ps3 from the back. Then turn it back on wait unit the light is red. Turn on the system through the front keep holding the power on. You will hear a beep one time that just tell you that the ps3 is powering on keep holding the button until you hear the second beep this will rest your video setting. If that dosnt work call me at sony

It does not turn on, remains in stand by mode.

I cannot be COMPLETELY sure of this so be careful, but doesn't the PS3's board cater for both types of power supply and therefore a step down transformer is not needed? Check the labels on it just in case, but be wary I CANNOT be certain of this...
