Question about Maax Calla 6042 Bathtub - 101058-000
Hello, I changed a spa motor pump recently. It has the usual 1/12 inch input and output connections for water and a small connection on the wet-end to a tube that I assumed took air out of the pump to make the jets go. Anyway, the brass fitting to the tube was bad (rotten), so I changed that - but it leaked between the tube and fitting when I turned on the pump - BUT the jets worked. Then I drianed the tub, and slathered that tube end it with adhesive before slipping it over the fitting. When it dried, I stated it up again, and it doesn't leak, I can hear the motor running, but no jets work, and I am worried that it might somehow burn out the engine ( I couldn't feel any suction on the intake), so I turned it off again.
Do you think that I blocked the intake with the adhesive - would that cause the jets not to work, and not allow proper circulation? Suggestions?
Thank you for you time and help, Dan
Yes my jacuzzi uses air on the suction side to make bubbles. you must have clogged it. how long is tube can you slide a rod in there to check if its blocked?
