Wireless adaptor problem

I just purchased a rosewill wireless adaptor, no matter wqhat I try the page will not display.I have 2 wireless routers that connect to my wii, so I know they are working. The rosewill shows excellent signal on both of my routers and that they are connected. Running IP config I get a 192 ip address but no gateway. Everything is set to automatic, I disabled my virus protection and firewall.

The wireless card is built into the adaptor. I tried connecting only 2 feet from the router. I'm coming to the conclusion there must be a defect in the adaptor.

You could have a bad wireless card. is your wireless card built in is it one your stick in? You can try resetting the routers modem and computer and then starting them all back up, make sure no radio signals are interfering, and make sure no electical devices such as a phone, toaster...are close to the router and computer.........make sure routers are at highest point for the best signal strength....if none of this works the best bet it might be a bad network card...if you have a warranty call the warranty company they will cover bad networks card...hope this helps

Window 7 32bit wireless could not connect or detect the wireless LAN with Rosewill RNX-N2LX b/g/n adapter. No problem with Window XP I downed load the latest driver but it still could do the job. ...

Install the driver then reboot your Windows7 system.
Plug the wireless adapter into a USB port.
An install icon will appear in the systray showing that it is installing the driver.
Click on the install icon and stop it from finding a driver in the Windows data base. Apparently Windows finds a driver and installs it corrupting the Rosewill driver.
I tried using the wizard but it locked up. After rebooting the system the adapter found my AP and I was able to log in.

You dont need an exact replacement for your router to work, just check on radio shack for generic adaptors with the same specifications, they would work fine, make sure voltage is the same as well as wattage...thats all that matters, and obviously input being 120vac, Hope this helps..

Hello. i am trying to use my intellinet wireless 300n adaptor, but have the wrong password. how can i access the password?

Your wireless network must be secured
You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
Is there any computer online using the router.
check the IP address on that computer.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings.
Click Here for more information about the routers and network

Hi, did you provide the network key/password when you setup the wireless conection on your computer? Is it detecting your wireless router (you should see your SSID or network name) when you click on your wireless icon (in the taskbar) and chose "show wireless connections". If you can acess to your router via it's configuration page(type the router's default IP address in your browser) you can go check the settings and change the key/passphrase if you dont remember it. If all of this is not working, you can also start from stratch. Reset the router to factory settings (check your manual) then reconfigure it the way you want, put the new infos in your wireless network connections properties and try again. let me know with more specific details if you still cant do it

Connection and signal strength depends upon the router. Just go through the settings on the wireless router, try changing the wireless channels. And also change the wireless mode on the router to 802.11g.This should be the compatible mode for your wireless adapter. to do this first connect the router with the help of an ethernet cable .Please follow the below steps:
1)Using your Internet browser, you can access the Router’s Web-Based
Advanced User Interface. In your browser, type “192.168.2.1” (you do
not need to type in anything else such as “http://” or “www”). Then
press the “Enter” key.
2)
You will see the Router’s home page in your browser window. The
home page is visible to any user who wants to see it. To make any
changes to the Router’s settings, you have to log in. Clicking the
“Login” button or clicking on any one of the links on the home page
will take you to the login screen. The Router ships with no password
entered. In the login screen, leave the password blank and click the
“Submit” button to log in.
3)
Clicking on the header of the “Wireless” tab will take you to the
“Wireless” header page. From this page, the Router’s wireless radio
can be enabled or disabled (the default setting is enabled). Under the
“Wireless” tab, there are links that allow you to make changes to the
wireless network settings.
4)
Your Router can operate in three different wireless modes:
“g and b”, “g only”, and “b only”.
5)
Change the wireless channel to 9 or 11
Click on save changes once you have done this
This should work,if it doesnt work let us know the exact problem in detail.

Web pages won't display

You have to call netgear again then ask them where you can find the MTU settings of the router. The default value is 1500. You can change it to 1450 first then 1400 if the first value won't work.
