Thx infonet. Sorry for reading that you have another prob. Did you open the printer? In case yes, you might have disconnected the small plastic foil which leads the printhead (encoder strip). The foil is located paralell to the driving belt of the printhead. try to fix it in place again. Have a look at the foil (encoder strip): is it stained with ink? If yes you need a new encoder strip. If not you have to place the head on the leftside (where the three white disks are) You can pull the head up in that position and watch the encoder strip when pushing it back in place. Another reason could be that the head crashes somewhere on his cycling way: Open cover and press the two plastics by thumb (located on the other side of the arrow-knob facing to inside) to avoid : cover open message. Power up machine. watch the head cycling. Does it run the hole way from right to left side and back? Or does it stuck some where? Please write here where it stopps.

Grinding noise when step on the break.

Hi,

The grinding noise could be indicative that the brake pads have worn off and the metal backing is grinding with the brake disc. This is further supported by the emergency brake light indicator which would illuminate (even when emergency/park brake is not engaged) when the brake fluid is low or the pads are too thin or gone (as in your probable case). Even though the grinding sound is only on the left side, it would be to your advantage to repalce both sides. Additionally, pls have the disc themselves checked as they may need re-surfacing.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Epson expression xp 600 error code 0xEA when setting up

I had the same problem today. I opened the printer below the scan bed, where you install the ink cartridges and there was a piece of packaging material that got left in that while I unpacked. I removed that and the 0XEA error was gone. I was sure the problem was nothing to do with the cartridge installation as it was the initial setup of the printer and cartridge installation was the next step based on the user guide. I was getting this error on initialization after setting the region, date and time.

My Kodak EasyShare printer won't print and makes a really loud grinding sound??

Grinding noise is never good. Open the unit and remove any paper residue (possibly form a paper jam) and clean all the rubber rollers you see with a damp cloth with a drop of dish washing soap on it. Also if you can get to the rear of the unit, clean rollers back there too.Manually move the carriage with the power off to see if it moves freely.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Samsung CLP-300 has grinding rollers

mine is the same way, to solve this I elevated the bottum by 2 inches, then i kept it off, also i blow a fan on it while running. also, you need to clean the filter (the gray "L" inside) black dust should come out. lastly, mine actually broke because it overheated. matt

Thank you Krissy! I had the same problem with the horrible grinding noise.

I took out all of the toners and the photo developer and noticed that my Blue toner was leaking all over. After reading your post, I tried replacing the toner. It worked!!! No more noise - and no more mess!
