Hls5086wx xaa My samsung sometimes turn on and some times it won't when it doesn't it will take itself into three cycles of turning off and turning back on. The bulb never illuminates. Sometimes it will turn on and start up with no problem. The bulb has been replaced last week and the color wheel was replaced last year. Any idea what's the issue? Please help!

no you do not need a bulb you will need to have the color wheel replaced.

i had the same problem with my set shutting off and was told it may be the ballast so i changed that but it still would start up and shut down after a few mins, then i was asked if the bulb had been changed and i had not, so i did change the bulb and have not had it shut down yet. :) (so try a new bulb)

Go to website Encompass Electronics.com type in your model number it will list part and part number ,you can also look for Lamp on E-Bay Encompass 1-800-638-3328 Also ck Color Wheel remove lamp take a flash light to watch when you turn TV on see if the color wheel is turning if it is defective set will shut OFF. But most likely its your Lamp.

Lamp Fan, make sure all fans are running if they run for alittle while and stop Fan is defective.
